Many conservatives have been deeply saddened with the death of Justice Antonin Scalia. Now, thanks to politics, we are fighting to have the Senate prevent President Barack Obama from nominating a radical-left Justice by any means necessary.
Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz threatened to filibuster any Supreme Court nominee if Obama put forth a replacement.
And one of Cruz’s biggest fans, conservative radio host Glenn Beck, said he believes that Scalia’s death has served a higher purpose. While he was busy campaigning for Cruz in South Carolina this week, he appeared on his show for a brief moment to talk about Scalia’s death with his co-host Pat Gray.
According to Beck, Scalia’s death was simply God giving Americans some motivation to vote Cruz for president. Beck thinks God knew that once Americans were faced with the reality of a country without Scalia to fight for their liberty, they would basically be voting for Cruz in droves.
I just woke the American people up. I took them out of the game show moment and woke enough of them up to say, ‘look at how close your liberty is to being lost. You now have lost your liberty. You replace one guy and you now have 5-4 decisions in the other direction. Just with this one guy, you’ve lost your liberty so you’d better elect somebody that is going to be somebody on [the court] because for the next 30 years, if you don’t, the Constitution as you know it [is gone].’

I don’t know about you but I am getting tired of Beck waving the bible around and speaking for God in a way that doesn’t make a bit of sense. Even worse, this guy endorsed Cruz and is a major player in getting the Texas Senator elected.
