‘U-S-A!’ President Trump Receives Standing Ovation At Army-Navy Game

Donald Trump was greeted with cheers when he went to the Army-Navy college football game on Saturday.

When Trump was introduced to the raucous crowd at the 70,000-seat stadium, many fans stood up and cheered. chanting “U-S-A!”

Standing O for Trump

It was his third time Trump attending the annual game, where he took part in the ceremonial coin toss while wearing a “Keep America Great” hat. Before the game, Trump visited players for both the Army Black Knights and the Navy Midshipmen in each team’s locker rooms.

President Trump, alongside Defense Secretary Mark Esper, encouraged the players and told them about how their service in the military can now be delayed until after they end their careers in professional sports.

“So what we’re doing now is you’ll go out, and you’ll make a fortune,” Trump told the Army team. “And after you are all finished with your professional career, you’ll go and you’ll serve. And everybody’s thrilled.”

Turning Point USA’s Benny Johnson tweeted out some of the reaction to President Trump when he was introduced at the game.

Compare This Reception to How Trump Was Treated at World Series

Compare this relatively warm reception of Trump to the derision he received when he attended one of the World Series games to cheer on the Washington Nationals. Not only was he booed, but some liberals even mocked the President for not bringing his young son Barron to the game.

But this was a game featuring teams from two branches of the U.S. military and also a military-heavy audience–who had a lot more respect for Trump than the more DC/Swamp crowd that was likely present at the World Series games in Washington DC.

That a military crowd thinks so highly of the President should tell you all you need to know about what kind of job he is doing.
