President Trump continued his uncanny ability to peg people through nicknames when he mocked his Republican primary challengers as “three stooges.”
The President responded to recent chatter culminating with former GOP congressman Joe Walsh who claims he would be the conservative alternative to the current White House occupant.
Trump blasted Walsh, along with fellow announced challenger Bill Weld, former governor of Massachusetts, as well as former South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford.
“Can you believe it?” he asked. “I’m at 94% approval in the Republican Party, and have Three Stooges running against me.”
No, we can’t believe it either.
These challengers aren’t looking out for the best interests of the party. Rather, they’re looking for attention and adulation from the Democrats. They’re looking for their Evan McMullin 15 minutes of fame. Why else cater to the minuscule number of Republicans displeased with the President knowing full-well you have no chance of winning?
Trump proceeded to eviscerate each of the three stooges with biting, cutting comments on each.

First up in the brutal takedown was Sanford, whom Trump referred to as “Mr. Appalachian Trail, who was actually in Argentina for bad reasons.”
The reference was to an incident where Sanford’s former staff said he was on a trip to the trail when in reality he was in Argentina with his mistress.
Sanford lost his congressional bid in 2018 when the President endorsed his opponent in part because the former governor was “very unhelpful” and “nothing but trouble” and “is better off in Argentina.”

Trump mocked Walsh as “a one-time BAD Congressman from Illinois who lost in his second term by a landslide, then failed in radio.”
Walsh is being embraced by the media currently, despite repeatedly calling former president Barack Obama a Muslim, making numerous racist comments, and even appearing to threaten the former president.
Walsh claims he lost his radio show once he announced he was mounting a primary challenge against Trump.
At least he’s getting some sought after attention from the President whose campaign previously responded to Walsh’s announcement with one word – “Whatever.”

The last insult from President Trump involved Weld and is rather cryptic in nature.
Trump referred to him as “a man who couldn’t stand up straight while receiving an award.”
While it remains unclear what the President is referencing here, Trump has previously ripped Weld for comparing his immigration policies to the Holocaust. Weld, he claimed, was an ‘alcoholic.’
“I don’t talk about his alcoholism, so why would he talk about my foolishly perceived fascism?” he told the New York Times.

In the end, Trump believes he’ll have little issue in dispatching these gnats from the party primary and moving on to face whatever unhinged kook the Democrats put up in 2020.
“I should be able to take them!” he bragged.
Unfortunately, it isn’t about winning for the three stooges. It’s about damaging Trump and wasting resources in an attempt to weaken him heading into the general election.

Anyone in any party who would challenge Pres. Trump is delusional. He is well loved by the people for doing what he promised to do which is unheard off in the political arena, and he does his work without pay because he donates his salary to public use. All politicians promise the heavens but once elected delivers us MASSIVE debt, higher taxes and grief, especially Demoncrats.
Piss on the 3 stooges. Trump all the way.
I wish the Republican party would stop being so cowardly and show real support for the President of the United States. I have been watching the senators and congressmen, they are so silent , I wish they would stand up and be counted. They are making it look like Pres Trump is doing this all by himself. I will not vote a coward in . Now a few are coming ou to challenge the President, . I think they maybe be a Dem plant. Like Obama was.
They do need to start conducting themselves as adults.
Dems are going NUTS!!!!! ??? Brother they are already nuts and going for a booster shot of crazy.
There is no other choice than Trump!! He loves America, and is taking care of business very well. The Dems have gone absolutely CRAZY!! We don't want to become a socialist country!! Geez......anyone who has read history should know that!!!! Nuts...I say....Dems are going NUTS!!!!!
I do support POTUS , however, I wish he would stop engaging in tactics used by the dem cartel, I am tired of them and I am getting tired of POTUS doing it as well. Enough of the name calling and sounding like 5 year olds having a temper tantrum.
that's my boy ...apolitical all the way ... go Trump
If Mark Sanford was a Dem, he'd be leading the field.
Our real choice in 2020 is not which candidate to vote for. Our real choice is weather we want to enslave ourselves to socialism or to retain our freedom and liberties. The only merit of socialism is that it makes everyone equally miserable. And it only works until you run out of other people's money, which doesn't take very long.
