Schumer Criticizes President Over Comey Firing, Trump Fired Back

Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was one in a long line of partisan hacks to criticize President Trump over the firing of FBI Director James Comey. But make no mistake, he’s the head partisan hack in the Democrat operation.

“Mister President, with all due respect, you’re making a big mistake,” Schumer claimed he told Trump after learning of his decision.

He called the news, “part of a deeply troubling pattern from the Trump administration.”

Not one to let critical comments like this slide, President Trump responded in typical fashion, destroying Schumer.

Trump’s “cryin'” reference hearkens back to a press conference Schumer held regarding the President’s immigration travel ban, in which the senior Senator produced “fake tears” in an attempt to drum up emotional resistance.

Perhaps more important than the verbal sparring between the President and Schumer, Trump makes an excellent point in calling out the hypocrisy of the left. Schumer and the Democrats have been schizophrenic in their views of Comey, accusing him of ruining Hillary Clinton’s election chances, praising him for not indicting her, etc.

It was just in November that Schumer hinted Comey should be relieved of his post, saying he had ‘no confidence’ in the Director.

Even during his press conference about the firing, a reporter called Schumer out for his flip-flop on Comey. To which Schumer responded by ending the press conference.

“You said you have lost confidence in Jim Comey because of how he handled the email scandal,” the reporter questioned. “Do you think that the president’s explanation that this is the reason why he’s firing him now has credibility with you?”

Of course he couldn’t admit to that. In fact, you can see Schumer clearly get defensive at being called out.

When Democrats continue to rail against Trump’s ‘Nixonian’ firing of Comey as a ‘scary’ thing from a ‘fascist’ President, simply take a moment today to remind them of the last time something like this happened – under President Bill Clinton.

With Schumer and the Democrats, everything is partisan. Everything is viewed through an anti-Trump lens. Nothing makes sense. And principles don’t matter.

So sorry, Cryin’ Chuck!
