Last week, we tragically learned that former-President George H.W. Bush and his wife Barbara were both rushed to the hospital with serious illnesses. While Barbara Bush was just released from the hospital, she has refused to leave her husband, who is still dealing with a bout of pneumonia.
Why? As family spokesman Jim McGrath noted, she will stay in the hospital to be closer to her husband.
They have been married 72 years, and she refuses to leave his side:

It’s so sad that there is only one comment here and not even one speedy recovery wish for the Bushes! Guess out of sight out of mind. This is so sad. He was our president and he and his wife deserve more than this. It doesn’t matter if you liked their administration or not. He was our leader at one time and did what he could for this country.
