Caitlyn Jenner appeared on the ABC talk show “The View” on Thursday morning as she continues her gubernatorial run in California, and all was going well until cohost Joy Behar asked her if she would acknowledge that Donald Trump lost the presidential election this past November.
“You say that you’re a Republican, and I’m just wondering because a lot of Republicans in this country believe that Donald Trump won the election and not Joe Biden,” Behar said. “Are you one of those people, one of those Republicans?”
Jenner refused to answer the question, telling Behar that she was “not going to get into that” because the “election is over with.”
“I think Donald Trump did do some good things,” Jenner continued. “What I liked about Donald Trump is that he was a disrupter.”

“But did he win?” a visibly frustrated Behar pressed on. “Did he win the election?”
“He was a disrupter when he was president. I want to do the same thing,” Jenner continued, refusing to play Behar’s game. “I want to go in and be a thoughtful disrupter in Sacramento. We need to change the system. I want to change that system for the positive. I’m in it for the people.”
Behar’s cohost Whoopi Goldberg then had to step in to end the segment due to time constraints before it could go any further.
Earlier in the segment, Jenner talked about why she wants to run for governor as the recall effort against the state’s Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom continues.
“This recall has really been led by so many parents of young kids who have been kept out of school for the past year, to be honest with you, I don’t even know if they’ll open it up next fall,” Jenner explained. “Gavin Newsom wasn’t for the people, he was for the elites; he wasn’t for the kids, he was for the teachers union.”
“I’m willing to fight for this state; I think it is worth fighting for; if we don’t stand up, nothing’s going to change,” she added.
