On Thursday’s episode of “The View,” the radically liberal cohost Sunny Hostin said that she thinks the Republican Party is losing moderates because it is becoming an “extremist, anti-scientist, nativist, embracing white supremacists insurrectionist party.”
“A new Gallup poll shows the largest increase in Democratic Party affiliation in nearly ten years,” cohost Whoopi Goldberg began. “So people are seeming to be quite surprised by this. So Sunny, why do you think this swing to the left seems to be happening?”
Hostin Attacks Republican Party
“You know, I think, Whoopi, this is a direct result of what happened with the, you know, former disgraced, twice impeached one-term president,” Hostin replied.
“I’ve said it before that you have a Republican Party that I think is unrecognizable to those that are centrist Republicans, those that are just sort of these conservative Republicans that we knew before like the John McCain, Republicans, the Republicans I think that Meghan grew up with,” she continued.
“I’ve been reading John Boehner’s book,” Hostin added. “And he says in his book, the crazies have taken over. And I think the Republican Party is sort of this extremist, anti-scientist, nativist, embracing white supremacists insurrectionist party at this point.”
“Kevin McCarthy really needs to rethink that strategy that this is an open, big-tent party and all are welcome,” she said. “Really are the Marjorie Taylor Greenes welcome? Are the Boeberts welcome? Are the Matt Gaetzs welcome in this party? That is what has lead to the alienation of mainstream Republicans. They don’t want to be extremists.”

Hostin Says Trump Made GOP ‘Morally Bankrupt’
This comes days after Hostin claimed that former President Donald Trump had made the Republican Party “morally bankrupt.”
“This is someone who changed the very moral fabric of the Republican Party. The Republican Party is no longer the party of family values. It’s the insurrection party. It is the party that’s morally bankrupt.”
“There was a president who, you know, paid off porn stars, who cheated on his wife, who was thrice married, who did all these reprehensible things and still had these cult-like followers. His playbook was deny, deny, deny the world of alternative facts, the world of gaslight, gaslight, gaslight,” Hostin added.
“When you change the moral fabric of your party, and when you have Kevin McCarthy saying things like we have a big tent party, all of you are welcome, of course, you’ll have someone like Matt Gaetz on the scared floor of Congress showing pictures of — naked pictures of women,” she concluded.

If I were Sunny Hostin I'd be more worried about the Democrat Party chasing anything that looks like a moderate out of their party. They are going to get shellacked in the midterms and will probably lose all branches of government by 2024 due their radical extremism. I wouldn't worry about the Republican Party, which seems as if it has righted its ship, got rid of the RINOs which were more Democrat than Republican anyway. The Democrat Party now is the party of far left extremism, violence, crime, the obliteration of all democratic norms, ripping up the Constitution, destroying the military, destroying the economy, making America last, and cozying up to dictators and fascists. I don't think the American People are going to find that very attractive.
