Sanders: ‘I Am Not a Communist’ — Calls Trump a ‘Pathological Liar’ for Saying So

On Sunday, 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders accused President Donald Trump on “Fox News Sunday” of possibly not understanding the difference between communism and socialism.

‘Didn’t He Get Married In Moscow?’

President Trump said in a video clip, “I think he is a communist. I think of communism when I think of Bernie. You can say socialist. Didn’t he get married in Moscow?”

Sanders said, “It gives me no pleasure to say this, we have a president who is a pathological liar. He lies. No, I did not get married in Moscow. I participated in creating a sister city program.”

Bernie continued, “Obviously, I am not a communist. I presume the president knows the difference. Maybe he doesn’t.”

Bernie Tries to Pin Socialism On Trump

He didn’t stop there.

“In many respects, we are a socialist society today,” Sanders continued. “We have a huge budget. It puts money into all areas. Donald Trump, before he was president, as a private business person, he received $800 million in tax breaks and subsidies to build luxury housing in New York.”

“Now, what does that mean when the government gives you $800 million in tax breaks and subsidies?” Sanders went on. “The fossil fuel industry whose product happens to be destroying our planet right now receives tens and tens of billions of dollars in tax breaks and subsidies so does the pharmaceutical industry.”

“The difference between my socialism and Trump’s socialism is I believe the government should help working families, not billionaires,” he finished.

Sanders and His Wife Visited the Soviet Union in 1988 Where They Sang Communist Anthem

Sanders can try to skirt and bend the issue all he wants, but there is no running away from the fact that he has been warm to communism his entire career.

There is even video of Sanders and his wife singing a communist anthem during their trip to the Soviet Union in 1988. This already known clip was recently shared again by Democratic Joe Biden supporter Lindy Li.

Sanders can continue to laughably try to pin the socialism label on Donald Trump, but there’s no running away from the Vermont senator’s blatant open communism.

This is the man many Democrats want to become the next President of the United States?
