Finally, the witch hunt is slowly coming to an end.
Over the weekend, Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City and a lawyer on President Trump’s legal team, announced when the probe into Russian collusion led by Robert Mueller should be wrapping up.

The special counsel hopes to finish by Sept. 1 the investigation into whether President Trump obstructed the Russia inquiry, according to the president’s lawyer Rudolph W. Giuliani, who said on Sunday that waiting any longer would risk improperly influencing voters in November’s midterm elections.
Mr. Giuliani said that the office of the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, shared its timeline about two weeks ago amid negotiations over whether Mr. Trump will be questioned by investigators, adding that Mr. Mueller’s office said that the date was contingent on Mr. Trump’s sitting for an interview. A spokesman for the special counsel’s office declined to comment.

Now, the report should be put into context: Giuliani is making this claim, and not Mueller himself. Ultimately, it will be up to the Special Counsel to end its investigation.
Still, Giuliani has the reputation of being a little too talkative for his own good. After the former mayor’s blabber-mouth revealed that Trump reimbursed attorney Michael Cohen for his payment to silence pornography actress Stormy Daniels, the President threatened to bench him from doing any more TV interviews. Usually, when Giuliani reveals critical information, it turns out to be right. So we’ll just have to see if the Mueller probe wraps up by September 1st.
Here’s the thing: we learned last week that the FBI has been investigating Trump’s campaign for foreign collusion for nearly 3 years now. (RELATED: President Trump: Obama’s FBI Had an Informant on My Campaign). In all this time, no evidence has been uncovered revealing any kind of foreign collusion.
Mueller is dragging this thing out, and it’s time to end.
