Actress and comedian Rosie O’Donnell, who is arguably better known for her obsessive hatred for President Donald Trump these days than anything she is doing in her fledgling acting career, spoke out this week to offer a pathetic defense for her support for Joe Biden, despite the fact that he has been accused of sexual assault.
O’Donnell has long claimed to be a feminist who believes women that claim to be victims of sexual assault, so it looks hypocritical that she is supporting Biden, who has been accused of digitally penetrating Tara Reade when she was a staffer in his Senate office back in 1993.
“Now, him digitally penetrating her in the office? That’s a pretty big deal, you know?” O’Donnell told The Daily Beast.
O’Donnell went on to offer an endorsement of Biden that can only be described as unenthusiastic, admitting that she has issues with his age, cognitive decline, and “some of the things in his reputation.”
“He’s not my first choice and he was not my second choice, but like everyone else in the country who’s a Democrat, I will work for him and support him as much as I can, and do anything I can to help him be the elected president of the United States,” O’Donnell said. “But is he my choice? No. Do I have problems with his age? Yes. With some of the things in his reputation? Yes. With the fact that he doesn’t seem as cognitively on top of it as one would hope a president would?”
Unsurprisingly, O’Donnell then shifted to her usual Trump-bashing ways, claiming that the current president has lowered the bar when it comes to how the occupant of the White House should behave. “The bar is at the curb thanks to Donald Trump, so [Biden’s] higher than the Trump bar,” she said. “But I think there was a whole level of people, many of whom were running for that Democratic nomination, who would have been better than him.”
This just goes to show that Democrats only cared about “believing women” when Republicans like Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh were being accused. A shameless leftist like O’Donnell is willing to put an accused sexual abuser who they admit has cognitive issues in the White House, just in the hopes that they will finally be able to get rid of Trump.
This proves once and for all that Democrats would rather see our country fail than see President Trump succeed.
