Roseanne Apologizes for Calling Soros a Nazi – Here’s Why She Shouldn’t Have

Roseanne George Soros
<> on March 27, 2018 in New York City.

In a world where Leftists will brand anyone to the right of Joseph Stalin a “Nazi,” Roseanne Barr had to apologize for calling George Soros a Nazi because apparently, that’s where the line is drawn.

It all began with a Twitter spat that Roseanne had with “Chelsea Soros Clinton,” in which she accused Chelsea of being married to one of his nephews. That tweet (now deleted), prompted the response from Chelsea: “Good morning Roseanne – my given middle name is Victoria. I imagine George Soros’s nephews are lovely people. I’m just not married to one. I am grateful for the important work OpenSociety does in the world. Have a great day!”

Roseanne replied with an apology and the accusation that Soros is a Nazi “who turned in his fellow Jews [to] be murdered” and stole their wealth.

And that tweet ended up prompting another apology from Roseanne. “I apologize sincerely to @georgesoros. His family was persecuted by The Nazis & survived The Holocaust only because of the strength & resourcefulness of his father. Learn more of the truth” she tweeted, with a link to his Open Society’s website, that says Soros “lived through the Nazi occupation” in Hungary, which “resulted in the murder of over 500,000 Hungarian Jews.”

The “Nazi” allegations against Soros stem from an appearance he made on “60 Minutes” in 1998. In it, he recounts the experience of living with a Hungarian official his father paid to protect him. While living with the Hungarian, Soros accompanied him as he worked on his job of taking inventory of the homes of Jewish families whose possessions had been taken by the Nazis. Soros was posing as a Christian. Soros initially says that he helped the Hungarian official, but then said he was “only a spectator.” You can watch the relevant part below, where he smiles about how “not difficult” watching Jews being shipped away to their deaths felt:

So is Soros literally a Nazi? No – but he’s literally helped aid the Nazis, while there isn’t a single Republican that’s been branded a “Nazi” by Leftists that’s done anything even remotely close. Soros’ actions aren’t exactly something that one can explain away with Ambien. (RELATED: Interview About World War II Proves George Soros Has No Heart).

Not exactly actions one can explain away with Ambien.
