Actress-turned-#MeToo activist Rose McGowan is calling on former Vice President Joe Biden to drop out of the 2020 presidential race over the sexual assault allegations made by his former Senate staffer, Tara Reade. She is also calling out the powerful liberals who have remained silent about his allegations despite claiming to be warriors for women.
“Fellow citizens, use your power, use your social media voice,” McGowan wrote on Twitter late Saturday. “Tweet at Joe Biden to end his campaign effective immediately.”
McGowan then tweeted out a lengthy statement blasting the mainstream media, women’s groups, LGBTQ news outlets, Oprah Winfrey, and even feminists like Gloria Steinem for continuing to stay silent about Reade’s claims that she was sexually assaulted by Biden while working for him back in 1993.
“F*** you to the silent media, f*** you to women’s groups, Gloria Steinem, & f***ing take ass Oprah, f*** you,” she wrote. “All of you crow about your braver yet you do nothing.”

The very same liberals who were all over the sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh are ignoring the allegations against Biden despite the fact that Reade has far more evidence than the judge’s accuser ever did. McGowan is one of the few left-wing stars who is actually holding the media accountable for turning a blind eye to Reade and her claims.
Earlier this month, McGowan tweeted out a New York Times story in which the publication questioned why Americans don’t trust the media anymore. “I’d say New York Times it’s because the public sees your favoritism and your utter hypocrisy,” she wrote. “Yes, you go after the reprehensible Trump, but leave Biden accusations alone. You are the problem.”

McGowan also targeted her former “Charmed” co-star Alyssa Milano, who was one of the founders of the #MeToo movement, for not giving Reade any attention. “You are a fraud. This is about holding the media accountable. You go after Trump & Kavanaugh saying Believe Victims, you are a lie. You have always been a lie. The corrupt DNC is in on the smear job of Tara Reade, so are you. SHAME,” she tweeted, tagging Milano in the tweet.

We may not always agree with McGowan politically, but it’s refreshing to see a liberal who is actually holding her fellow left-wingers accountable for their hypocrisy.
