The Hollywood star Rob Reiner of “All In The Family” fame took to social media on Tuesday to launch a truly vile attack on Christian supporters of Donald Trump.
Reiner Attacks Christian Trump Supporters
Reiner took to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, to react to Trump’s victory in the Iowa Caucus on Monday night to say that he doesn’t understand how any Christians could support the former president.
“Jesus told us to do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” Reiner wrote. “How in God’s name can anyone who believes in the teachings of Jesus support Donald Trump?”
Reiner Gets Hit Back
Unfortunately for Reiner, however, it didn’t take long for this to blow up in his face.
“If you believed in Jesus you would know,” the Oscar-nominated Hollywood star Randy Quaid wrote in response.
“You support Joe Biden You have no right to speak about Jesus or the Bible,” another X user commented, with a third writing, “President Trump brought prosperity to the US. He also brought peace. Biden has brought war, a crumbling economy, and an invaded border. It’s clear to anyone being honest that Trump is better for our country than Biden. That’s why Biden’s approval is so low. We need Trump now!”
Reiner is currently preparing for the February release of his documentary God And Country, which aims to warn the public of the dangers of what he describes as “Christian nationalism.” In reality, the documentary is part of Reiner’s quest to shame rightwing Christians by claiming that they pose the biggest threat to democracy.
“Christian Nationalism is not only a danger to our Country, it’s a danger to Christianity itself,” Reiner wrote on X last month. “Our film will be coming to theaters In February.”

Joy Reid Attacks ‘White Christians’
Reiner’s latest comments came after the MSNBC host Joy Reid reacted to Trump’s victory in the Iowa Caucus by shaming “white Christians.”
“I feel like the important sort of data point … is that these are white Christians,” she said. “That this is a state that is overrepresented by white Christians that are gonna participate in the caucuses.”
Reid went on to claim that “white Christians” don’t care about Trump’s electability.
“When you believe that God has given you this country, that it is yours, and that everyone who is not a white, conservative Christian is a fraudulent American, is a less real American, then you don’t care about electability,” she said, according to Daily Mail. “You care about what God has given you.”
Reid later called on Democrats to admit that “white evangelicalism” had morphed into “Christian nationalism.”
“White evangelical Christians of a certain mindset… [think] that they own this country,” she said. “That immigrants, that brown people, that Hindus like Vivek Ramaswamy and his wife are illegitimate Americans. They are less legitimate Americans than they are.”
“They’re not trying to convince people and win people over through politics,” she added. “What they’re saying is, ‘we own this country, and everyone will bow down to us.'”

Both Reiner and Reid have long been two of the most obsessively anti-Trump people in the public eye. For them to attack conservative Christians, however, is a new low for them both.
