Joe Biden appears to be elated over his son Hunter’s plea deal for tax crimes and an illegal gun purchase, with reports indicating the President and his inner circle are feeling “great comfort” about the arrangement.

Under the sweetheart arrangement, Biden’s son will plead guilty to a pair of misdemeanor tax charges but will have a felony charge related to lying on a firearm background check dropped so long as he completes a two-year period of probation.

He won’t step foot in prison unless he violates the terms of his probation. (And does anyone really believe he would go to prison if he did?)

Politico reports that the President found the resolution to be a relief, having been “deeply anxious for months about his son’s legal fortunes” as the investigation dragged on for five years.

They note that Biden had seemingly known his son was in legal peril despite insisting publicly he was innocent.

“Though President Biden had earlier insisted that his son had ‘done nothing wrong,’ members of Biden’s inner circle took great comfort in knowing that, with a guilty plea, Hunter likely would not serve prison time,” they write.

Biden Happy About Hunter’s Plea Deal

The White House has been relatively quiet about Hunter Biden’s prison-free plea deal since it was announced on Tuesday.

“The President and First Lady love their son and support him as he continues to rebuild his life,” said a White House spokesman. “We will have no further comment.”

But the tone of the Politico report reveals that Team Biden is ecstatic over the developments. Phrases such as “great comfort,” “relief,” and “a personal weight … lifted” pepper their accounting of the mood inside the White House.

It seems a strange reaction for a group of people who so often lecture law-abiding citizens about gun control.

President Biden also repeatedly insisted he was proud of Hunter for taking ownership of his actions.

“The president himself privately told confidants that he was proud of his son for taking responsibility for his actions,” Politico writes.

Some would argue that getting off scot-free isn’t taking responsibility for anything. Biden reiterated his pride in his degenerate son at an artificial intelligence roundtable event in California.

Two-Tiered Justice System

President Biden isn’t the only one beaming with joy following Hunter Biden’s announced plea deal. The Washington Post reports that Biden allies view the events that transpired as “evidence of the integrity of the criminal justice system.”

The fact that the criminal and those supporting him are thrilled with the results says exactly what you think it does – there is a two-tiered system of justice turning this nation into a banana republic.

That’s the reality. Do you think you would skate if you dodged your taxes and lied on a background check?

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson slammed the Hunter Biden plea deal and suggested the Justice Department had dutifully “washed away” the sins of the First Son.

Carlson said Hunter Biden had “pleaded guilty to pretty much nothing.”

The Twitter media personality pointed out the difference in how Hunter’s case was handled as opposed to that of former President Trump and his allies.

“There was no pre-dawn raid carried out live simultaneously on CNN, there was no perp walk, no handcuffs, no press conference,” he lamented. “Above all there was no felony. Hunter Biden who broke federal gun laws can still carry a gun. It’s like it all never happened.”

“In fact, the Justice Department just baptized Hunter Biden,” he added. “A lifetime of sins washed away in an instant. It was a secular miracle.”

Politico’s report on the First Couple’s reaction to their 53-year-old son’s plea deal seems to sync with Carlson’s baptism analogy.

“The end of the investigation would be a marker, the first couple hoped, of a new era in Hunter Biden’s life,” they revealed.

The slate has been wiped clean for Hunter. Capitol riot protesters will languish in prison for years. If federal prosecutors get their way, so will former President Trump.

But Hunter gets a new lease on life, just like you conspiracy theorists knew he would.

Now is the time to support and share the sources you trust.
