During the third day of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Georgia representative Marjorie Taylor Greene used her speaking time, during a speech before and audience of conservative activists from across the country, to go after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s recent remarks regarding America’s further involvement in the conflict against Russia.
Greene firmly said that Zelensky should keep his “hands off of our sons and daughters,” sparking almost immediate media criticism.
The Republican has been an vocal critic of the United States’ involvement funding and providing billions in aid and weapons to the Ukrainian fight against invading Russian forces, having claimed that this will only further escalate a potential war between the United States and Russia outright.
Her specific choice of words reference a recent series of remarks made by the Ukrainian president in February, in which he stated that should Ukraine fall to Russia, that other nations (including members of NATO) could encounter the same fate.
During a recent news conference discussing the anniversary of the first year of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Zelensky stated, “The US is never going to give up on the NATO member states. If it happens so that Ukraine, due to various opinions and weakening — depleting — of assistance, loses, Russia is going to enter Baltic states, NATO member states, and then the US will have to send their songs and daughters, exactly the same way we are sending, their sons and daughters to war.”
“And they will have to fight,” he continued, “because it’s NATO that we’re talking about. And they will be dying, God forbid, because it’s a horrible thing. I wish for peace and Ukrainian support to the United States.”
Greene told the CPAC audience that she would stay “committed to saying no money to Ukraine, and that country needs to find peace, not war.”
“And while I will look at a camera and directly tell Zelensky, you’d better leave your hands off of our sons and daughters because they’re not dying over there,” she added.
Obviously, as soon as her speech was over, liberals began to bash her remarks as well as those in attendance.
“Foreign Policy Fools,” tweeted Daily Kos contributor Aldo’s Pennyfarthing. “CPAC attendees act like like trained seals. I imagine MTGreene tossed them [fish] after each Pro-Putin statement.”
Democratic strategist Greg Pinelo added “Putin will do everything he can to help Republicans steal the 2024 election. His agents are in place,” thus spreading misinformation by referencing the disproven conspiracy theory claiming the 2016 Trump campaign colluded with Russia to ‘steal’ the 2016 election victory from failed candidate Hillary Clinton.
Over a week ago, Greene had announced she intended to submit a bill which would force an audit of all the taxpayer dollars that have been provided to Ukraine during it’s yearlong conflict.
Greene stated, “It’s going to force Congress to give the American people an audit” she said during an interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson. “And that is exactly what the American people need, an audit of Ukraine, because we have no idea where all this money’s going.”
She also added that “The only border they [Democrats] care about is Ukraine, not America’s southern border. Under Republicans, not another penny will go to Ukraine. Our country comes first. They don’t care about our border or our people.”

I suspect that the invasion of Ukraine by Russia is very convenient and useful to Joe Bidenitis. The war takes most of the potential for holding the Bidens accountable for the absolute mess he and his malAdministration have created both inside and out of the United States.
The war grants a superb excuse to the moronic Mass Media for NOT reporting on Bidens' deliberate dictator-like activities.
Certainly nobody outside the Demonrat Party believes for one split second that Biden has at any time past, present or future, acted in the best interests of the USA - Perish the thought !
The Russian "invasion" of Ukraine certainly follows a predictable path. A large Russian-speaking area of Ukraine - itself previously a part of the USSR ( not forgetting Chernobyl ! ) was prior to the invasion fobidden to speak or use the Russian language according to all sources. This is not exactly what I would call a "Friendly or even reasonable" action if true and to someone like Vladimir Putin, with his Hard-Man reputation at stake, it was very predictably like a "Red Rag to a Bull !"
So there are two sides to this story - there usually are !!
It is now time to suspend aggression and Talk Peace !

The only reason our politicians and Mr Biden are interested is Biden is being blackmailed and our leaders in BOTH Houses in Congress don’t want to stop the money laundering that has made them filthy rich. OUR sons and daughters will never die on Ukraine soil. So far, Mr Biden has only had a small taste of our angst on J6, he’ll reap more, much more if he thinks he’s going to send our premier military personnel to Ukraine! One drop of their blood shed in Ukraine will force an immediate response from the citizens and the gate will swing against a tyrannical government. If you must send military to die to save your riches send the delusional, emasculated generals and DOD upper echelons!
