Radio Host Hits Biden On Race – Democrat Black Vote In Jeopardy

The talk show host wants to dismantle the system.

Biden Charlamagne Tha God

Poor Joe Biden can’t win one way or the other. First he goes for what he thinks is a softball interview (bad staff homework there) and ends up saying something that will alienate black voters, not engender their support.

Then when the pathetic candidate tries to apologize, the talk show host comes out with a radical statement, thus now, after Biden sucked up to him in apology, associating Biden with a black radical who wants to overturn the entire American system and is, by implication, calling the U.S. a racist nation. This not only imperils swing votes but possibly the Democrat hold on moderate black votes as well.

This is a far cry, and much less effective, from the decades-old Bill Clinton Sister Souljah strategy of luring black radicals into public traps so Democrats can seem more moderate to white voters and thus capture the swing votes they need to win the presidency. Such is the tactical and strategic acumen of the Biden campaign. The latest manifestation of that mastery was on Saturday.

“I see black communities all across America catching hell regardless of who is in the White House,” radio host Charlamagne tha God told The Hill on Saturday in response to the controversy surrounding Biden’s ill-judged remark. “Because we have a bunch of underlying conditions created by systemic racism that have never been fixed. The whole system needs to be dismantled and rebuilt, and he’s [Biden] been a very intricate part of that system.”

What the chuffed up disc jockey is doing here is condemning the whole nation as a part of a racist system, saying we’ve done nothing about it, or at least not enough, and then he tops it off with calling Biden himself a racist by his association with that system. Not a formula for shoring up black support for the former veep.

“My take away from the conversation was, I heard him talking about things that he did for black people back in the day. But you know, ‘What have you done for me lately?’ is my motto,” the radio host said.

Well, that’s practical politics. One wonders if past his own racist rhetoric expected from black radicals —the usual me first, gimme-gimme lines— Mr. Tha God is just like any two-bit political hustler, asking for his piece of the pie. Or else!

What prompted this blistering response from radio host “tha” actual Mr. Lenard Larry McKelvey? During the Friday interview a Biden aide tried to end the potentially disastrous interview and tha God asked Biden to come back on the show. “It’s a long way to November. We’ve got more questions.”

Biden shot back: “I tell you, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”

The amazing stupidity of that statement is only matched by its insulting awkward colloquialism. Tha God retorted, “It has nothing to do with Trump. It has to do with the fact that I want something for my community.” Again, a normal political hack response.

“Take a look at my record, man,” Biden responded. “I extended the Voting Rights Act for 25 years. I have a record that is second to none. The NAACP [has] endorsed me every time I’ve run. Take a look at the record.” “Man?” Is Biden living in a continuous loop of 1973? And the NAACP? Does he think a black radical like this radio jock gives a whit about what the NAACP has to say? Again, Biden is decades behind the power curve.

Biden eventually apologized, “I shouldn’t have been such a wise guy. No one should have to vote for any party, based on their race or religion or background.” Biden will go back on the air with Charlamagne tha God. That could prove even worse for him, but a ratings bonanza for the radio show.
