Psaki Claims Sexual Harassment Allegations Against Biden Were ‘Heavily Litigated’ Already

When Psaki Is Asked About Sexual Misconduct Allegations Against Biden, She Says ‘That Was Heavily Litigated’

In the wake of President Biden calling on New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to resign over the New York AG’s finding that he sexually harassed nearly a dozen women – breaking federal and state laws – White House press secretary Jen Psaki was asked about the sexual harassment allegations against President Joe Biden.

Psaki claimed the allegations – most notably from former Senate staffer Tara Reade – were “heavily litigated” during the campaign, while also calling again for Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to resign.

Reporter To Psaki: ‘Should There Be An Independent Investigation Of The Allegations Against The President?’

Steve Nelson from the New York Post brought up the sexual misconduct allegations made against Biden by his former Senate aide Tara Reade.

According to Reade, Biden sexually assaulted her in a hallway in the Capitol complex in 1993.

Nelson asked Psaki, “Should there be an independent investigation of the allegations against the president as there was for Cuomo?”

“Well, first, I would say the president has been clear and outspoken about the importance of women being respected and having their voices heard and being allowed to tell their stories and people treating them with respect. That has long been his policy, continues to be his policy,” Psaki responded.

She then said that in Biden’s case, everything had already been “heavily litigated” during the presidential campaign.

The White House press secretary then claimed “That was heavily litigated during the campaign, I understand you’re eager to come back to it, but I don’t have anything further other than to repeat that he has called for the governor to resign.”

Tara Reade took issue with Psaki’s claim that the issue had been “heavily litigated.”

Cuomo Found To Have Sexually Harassed Women But Will Face No Criminal Charges

On Tuesday,  New York Attorney General Letitia James announced that an investigation into the sexual misconduct allegations against Cuomo found that the governor had subjected multiple women to sexually charged comments and inappropriate touching.

James also said Cuomo also sought retaliation against one of the accusers in an alleged attempt to keep her quiet.

Despite charging that Cuomo had “broken federal and state laws,” James also said Cuomo will face no criminal charges.
