President Trump and First Lady Melania Get Loud ‘U-S-A’ Cheers at LSU-Clemson National Championship Game

President Donald Trump and his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, appeared at Monday night’s national championship football game between Louisiana State University and Clemson University, where they received loud cheers.

‘U-S-A’

Mr. and Mrs. Trump accompanied service members on the field during the pre-game ceremonies at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. When they appeared on the big screens in the arena right before the National Anthem, the attendees cheered the couple with enthusiasm.

Loud chants of “U-S-A” echoed throughout the stadium.

Monday was President Trump’s second LSU game. Back in November, he went to a game between LSU and the University of Alabama’s Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Trump showing up at sports events made a number of headlines last year.

President Trump Often Shows Up at Major Sports Events

In October, when Trump attended game five of the World Series between the Nationals and the Houston Astros in Washington, D.C. many of the Swamp creatures in our nation’s capitol booed the President.

Liberals even shamefully made Trump’s young son Barron part of their attack.

“Critics of the President have mocked him for failing to bring son Barron Trump to game five of the World Series Sunday night,” The Political Insider reported at the time. “In retrospect, the Washington Nationals fans’ reaction to the President’s presence made the decision seem proper.”

“The crowd booed Trump with a vengeance, even starting a ‘lock him up’ chant,” TPI noted. “They did this despite the commander-in-chief announcing hours earlier a stellar moment in American military might with the slaying of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.”

“Knowing full well the atmosphere was ripe for partisan anger from the Washington crowd, Barron Trump did not attend the game,” TPI added. “And of course, liberals took the opportunity to mock the President and his son relentlessly.”

A Tale of Two Crowds

But the New Orleans Mercedes-Benz Superdome crowd, which is Trump country and not the DC Swamp, had a very different and positive reaction to the President’s appearance Monday night.

The contrast couldn’t be clearer. 2020 is going to be a very interesting year.
