Politico Founder Says He Wants A Joe Biden ‘Coronation’ Even If He Did Assault Tara Reade

Biden Tara Reade

On Tuesday, the founder of Politico, Martin Tolchin, published a letter to the editor of the New York Times demanding a Joe Biden “coronation” even if the former vice president actually committed sexual assault.

Tolchin, who is also a former New York Times correspondent, was responding to a recent Times editorial calling for the Democratic National Committee to look into claims by former Biden Senate staffer, Tara Reade, who alleges that Biden sexually assaulted her in 1993.

‘I don’t want an investigation. I want a coronation of Joe Biden’

Tolchin even said Reade’s claims should not be investigated because beating President Donald Trump in November was fare more important.

“I totally disagree with this editorial,” Molchin wrote in his op-ed. “I don’t want an investigation. I want a coronation of Joe Biden.”

“Would he make a great president? Unlikely,” Tolchin admitted. “Would he make a good president? Good enough. Would he make a better president than the present occupant? Absolutely. I don’t want justice, whatever that may be. I want a win, the removal of Donald Trump from office, and Mr. Biden is our best chance.”

‘Suppose an investigation reveals damaging information concerning his relationship with Tara Reade… Should we really risk the possibility?’

Tolchin continued, “Suppose an investigation reveals damaging information concerning his relationship with Tara Reade or something else, and Mr. Biden loses the nomination to Senator Bernie Sanders or someone else with a minimal chance of defeating Mr. Trump. Should we really risk the possibility?”

The op-ed was signed, “Martin Tolchin

” and disclosed that “The writer is a former member of The Times’s Washington bureau and a founder of Politico.”

DNC Ignores NYT’s Plea

After the Times called for the DNC to look into the accusations against Biden, Democratic Party leaders balked, calling it, “absurd on its face.”

Tolchin’s dismissive attitude toward Reade’s claims that Biden sexually assaulted her only further show how the Democrats and their media accomplices are more concerned with partisan gains than the truth.

White House correspondent for the Daily Mail, David Martosko, tweeted that Tolchin’s letter was “Exhibit A demonstrating why less than 1/3 of Americans trust the news media.”
