James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas attended Hillary Clinton’s campaign re-launch in New York earlier this year. And the organization found something not only disturbing but illegal.
Undercover video shows a Canadian woman wanted to buy Hillary merchandise. But, under federal election law, this is illegal since she is a foreign national. Campaign Compliance Manager Erin Tibe and Director of Marketing Mollie Barker informed the foreigner the campaign couldn’t take money from her. A loophole was found and permitted by the Clinton senior staffers. But, this loophole was illegal.
The Clinton campaign permitted the foreign national to use an American to act as a pass through for the donation. This is illegal and given the position of these women in the campaign, they should know this. But, the rules don’t seem to apply to Hillary Clinton.
Here’s what she said in her speech:
We have to stop the endless flow of secret, unaccountable money that is distorting our elections, corrupting our political process, and drowning out the voices of our people.
