Freshman Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, citing Joe Biden’s recent debate performance, openly wondered whether or not the former vice president’s age was affecting his mental capacity.
Oh, she did her best to pretend she wasn’t referring to his age, but that was definitely where she was going with the conversation.
Biden took a hit in the polls after the first debate for 2020 Democratic presidential candidates, where he gave a lackluster performance and was notably excoriated by Senator Kamala Harris over his record on civil rights and forced bussing.
Rather than chalking it up to a poor debate from a possibly complacent man who, at the time, had a solid lead on the field in every major poll, Ocasio-Cortez questioned his “capacity.”
“I think Joe Biden, his performance on the stage kind of raised some questions with respect to that. But I don’t want to say just because someone is 79, they can’t or shouldn’t run for president,” she said during an interview with New Yorker Radio.

“I don’t want to use those proxies, a number as a proxy for capacity. I think you have to assess a person’s capacity kind of on a case-by-case basis,” Ocasio-Cortez added.
This is coming from a lawmaker with the mental capacity of a potato.

She might not want to use his age as a proxy, but she’s clearly using his age as a proxy for whether or not his mind has deteriorated to the point that he can no longer make a viable presidential candidate.
Making Friends Wherever She Goes
The New York socialist has been on a tear of late, engaging in a feud with yet another 79-year-old politician, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. She seems to be quite the ageist.
Ocasio-Cortez spent a good portion of the same interview whining that she isn’t treated equally by Pelosi and in fact, may have been given busy work by the Speaker to shut her up and keep her out of the spotlight.
“I was assigned to two of some of the busiest committees and four subcommittees,” she said. “So my hands are full. And sometimes I wonder if they’re trying to keep me busy.”
Attacked Biden Before
Make no mistake, Ocasio-Cortez’ opposition to Biden is more political than personal, it’s just that she doesn’t have a mind functioning at a high enough level to do anything other than revert to petty insults. She’s a teenager, masquerading as a lawmaker.
When you get right down to it, the New Yorker opposes Biden because he doesn’t support her environmental extremist platform.
“I’ll be damned if the same politicians who refused to act (in past decades) are going to try to come back today and say we need a ‘middle of the road’ approach to save our lives,” she responded to Biden.

The comments were a direct jab at Biden whose campaign revealed he was seeking to “find middle ground” when crafting a policy to aid the environment.
Ocasio-Cortez has previously expressed that a Biden campaign “does not particularly animate me right now,” and that she “[doesn’t] want to go back,” she “want(s) to go forward.”
Funny, she doesn’t seem opposed to Bernie Sanders’ mental capacity due to his age, as he’s only two years younger than Biden.
