Can you imagine if Donald Trump took a disputed narrative, used incomplete investigations as justification, and threatened another country? They’d be calling him a deranged lunatic who should never be trusted with the nuclear codes.
Yet, that’s what President Obama did in an interview with NPR.
In discussing the alleged Russian hacking of the presidential election, Obama declared that “we need to take action” against Russia “and we will.”
Settle down mister.
Here’s the audio …
President Obama says the United States will respond to Russian cyberattacks that the intelligence community has concluded were part of an effort to influence the 2016 presidential election.
In an interview with NPR’s Steve Inskeep that will air Friday on Morning Edition,Obama said, “I think there is no doubt that when any foreign government tries to impact the integrity of our elections … we need to take action. And we will — at a time and place of our own choosing. Some of it may be explicit and publicized; some of it may not be.”

First of all, we’re not certain Vladimir Putin is shaking in his boots over threats from this guy:
But that’s neither here nor there.
The question remains whether or not the intelligence community is correct in their claims that Russian hackers effected the elections.
Members of Wikileaks, the group that published leaked emails from the DNC and Clinton campaign aides have maintained that they didn’t get the material from Russians, but rather an insider, disgruntled Democrat.
Obama’s own Attorney General Loretta Lynch told reporters earlier this week that “we didn’t see the sort of technical interference (from the Russians) that I know people had concerns about.”
Furthermore, the President himself acknowledged – in the same interview – that intelligence agencies hadn’t arrived on a consensus about the hacking.
“There are still a whole range of assessments taking place among the agencies,” Obama said. “And so when I receive a final report, you know, we’ll be able to, I think, give us a comprehensive and best guess as to those motivations.”
In other words, let’s take action against Russia and then see what’s in the report. Nancy Pelosi would be proud.
Dinesh D’Souza took to social media to mock the president’s penchant for issuing strongly worded statements as his method of ‘taking action’ against rogue countries and regimes.

He’ll have trouble sleeping, we’re sure.
