On Thursday, the Political Insider reported how the Pope interjected his thoughts into the 2016 GOP presidential race by claiming frontrunner Donald Trump is not a Christian – because he wants to build a wall along the Southern border to keep out illegal immigrants, ISIS members, and Syrian refugees. I totally agree with Trump that it needs to be done, but I do not agree with the Pope deciding if someone is a Christian or not. That’s not his job!
Trump fired back with this released statement, “The pope will wish he was president if ISIS attacks the Vatican.”
Notice the Pope didn’t attack any other Republican – not Ted Cruz (who also supports a border wall) or Marco Rubio, since everyone knows he supports amnesty and illegal immigration. Thanks, Pope Francis! Watch Trump’s video response here and listen to the crowd reaction:
Trump’s margin of victory in South Carolina just went up by about 10 points. He should win by a good 20 points, now. Name me one other Republican candidate who would be this honest and truthful about this? I can’t think of one. They would all say something nice, maybe slightly scolding, but they would be super polite. Trump speaks the TRUTH. He doesn’t care what the Pope thinks.

Here’s my final take. The Pope lives behind the walls of the Vatican, far away from the illegal immigrants who swarm into our country unchecked. Just a couple of weeks ago, word came down from DC for illegals not to show up at court for prosecution. So let the United States “be the United States,” as we can take care of ourselves.
