First Lady Melania Trump’s current communications director Stephanie Grisham will replace the outgoing Sarah Sanders as White House press secretary by the end of June. In addition to her press secretary duties, Grisham will also become the new White House communications director while still also serving as Melania Trump’s spokesperson.
Talk about multitasking!
Melania announced the news on Twitter on Tuesday, writing, “I am pleased to announce @StephGrisham45 will be the next @pressec and @Comms Director! She has been with us since 2015 – @potus and I can think of no better person to serve the Administration & our country. Excited to have Stephanie working for both sides of the @WhiteHouse”

Grisham has developed a reputation within the White House and throughout Washington as a staunch defender of the first lady who isn’t afraid to get aggressive with the press, including bouts with against Vogue magazine editor Anna Wintour and the hosts of ABC’s “The View.”
Her work for Mrs. Trump has also crossed over into the day-to-day business of Mr. Trump.
In 2017, when the media attacked Melania for launching an anti-bullying campaign, contrasting it with President Donald Trump’s criticisms of the press, Grisham replied, “As the first lady has stated publicly in the past, when her husband gets attacked, he will punch back 10 times harder.”
Sanders announced earlier this month that she would be resigning by the end of June, expressing her desire to spend more time with family at her home in Arkansas. Many speculated Grisham, who joined Trump’s presidential campaign in 2015 and worked in the administration later, might be a quality fit for the job.
Apparently, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump agreed.

Expect the press to be relentless as they have ever been in continuing to attack the Trumps, with the White House press secretary having to put them in their place.
Sarah Sanders always did a good job of that. Something tells us Stephanie Grisham will too.
