First Lady Melania Trump denounces her critics during an interview on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show, echoing her husband’s anti-media line.
Melania voices her displeasure with the press
During an exclusive interview, Hannity asked the First Lady what she found to be the hardest thing to deal with since entering the White House. Melania held nothing back. She went right for the media’s jugular, ripping critics of her husband and the entire administration.
Here’s what Melania said:
I would say the opportunists who are using my name or my family name to advance themselves, from comedians, to journalists, to performers, book writers. It doesn’t hurt. The problem is they [are] writing the history and it’s not correct…They like to focus on the gossip and I would like [them] to focus on the substance and what we do, not just about nonsense.

Melania keeps her remarks classy
Melania is a classy lady, so she won’t call out the media guttersnipes for what they are: rumor-mongering miscreants who trade in salacious lies instead of actual, objective news.
While her husband is much more open about his disdain for the media and its addiction to lurid speculation, Melania is more subtle in voicing his displeasure. When visiting a hurricane-torn area of Texas, she wore a jacket that said “I really don’t care. Do you?” which ignited a media firestorm. As President Trump explained, this was another jab by the media. (RELATED: President Trump Explains Melania’s ‘I Don’t Care’ Jacket.)

Melania’s media criticism is no surprise

Nobody likes watching their husband attacked day in and day out. So Melania defended herself and her husband from the vicious press. It probably won’t be the last time.
