Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
Megyn Kelly, a once revered host at Fox News with a solid contract, an enviable time slot, and the respect of being on a news network that people watched, has now resorted to cheap tactics to get her audience fired up.
A clip from her new show, “Megyn Kelly Today,” has been making the rounds on social media for all the wrong reasons.
The video shows Kelly and guest Hoda Kotb breaking out into a dance routine, even trying to get the crowd into the act.
One has to assume there were producers off-camera waving their arms ‘No!’ or placing their hands out as if to say ‘Stop!’ Undeterred, the pair danced on, in what Vulture described as “22 nearly unbearable seconds.”
Please, we ask our readers with more sensitive stomachs to briefly turn away while we present that clip …
Hoda was on #MegynKellyToday this morning for no reason other than to fill time and I’ve never been so embarrassed. pic.twitter.com/wXUatEcPhY

We haven’t seen those kinds of dance moves since Elaine Benes graced the dance floor at a company party.

And we haven’t seen two people try to attract a younger, hipper crowd quite like this since Steven Buschemi tried once upon a time …
This is one of the most important clips you will ever need for criticizing mediahttps://t.co/taHMZDWocT

Bless their hearts, what were they thinking?
Kelly’s ratings keep getting worse and worse, no matter what show she does on NBC, no matter the time slot.

It’s so bad Buzzfeed reports, that it’s starting to drag down shows around her.
“The weaker lead-in from “Megyn Kelly Today” is certainly affecting “Kathie Lee and Hoda,’” they wrote. “It’s down both in total viewers and among 25- to 54-year-olds compared to the same weeks last year.”
So it’d appear Kotb and Kelly were both trying to get a ratings boost with the dance routine.
Meanwhile, conservative actor James Woods summed up Megyn’s career downtrend from Fox News to NBC in just a few words.

Indeed, a lot of things can happen. We just wish that clip wasn’t one of them.
