Never let it be said that former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is a truthteller. The Democrat Party, along with Pelosi, can really lay down some emotional lies to turn the public against the Republicans at the drop of a hat.
Pelosi was on CBS This Morning to talk about the wiretapping fiasco by Obama. During her interview she said something in regards to FBI Director James Comey, and the host didn’t fact check her or question her.
Based on the way our media works, if that lie isn’t checked, it will become a truth against the President and all hell could break loose.
Here’s what happened, via Mediaite
Rep. Nancy Pelosi lashed out at President Donald Trump on Tuesday’s CBS This Morning over his accusation that former President Barack Obama ordered wiretapping against him, but falsely asserted that FBI Director James Comey has given a public statement about the controversy.
Fill-in anchor Anthony Mason asked the San Francisco Democrat, “Do you think FBI Director James Comey should speak out publicly about this?”
Pelosi replied, “He did. He has spoken out. He said that they should retract that statement, as I understand what I’ve seen in the press. He has — he’s very courageous — to protect the integrity of the FBI, he has spoken out against it. And what’s — I don’t know — the Justice Department seems to be missing in action in… other aspects of the Justice Department.”
Comey actually hasn’t made any public statement about the matter. On Sunday, ABC News reported that the FBI director “asked the Justice Department to publicly refute President Trump’s assertion that his predecessor, President Obama, ordered a wiretap of Trump’s phones prior to the November 2016 election.”
Pelosi is a liar. FBI Director Comey never said anything publicly, and to use his name to advance her lie is a travesty. Remember, if this lie runs without being checked, it could create so many problems.
What gets me is that, almost every time, the media allows Pelosi and the Democrats to lie without following them up or asking questions.
Pelosi needs to be retired to live out her days in the fields of Wyoming, grazing and looking at the stars. She doesn’t need to be in Congress, that’s for sure.
