Mark Wahlberg is the proud father of four children, including two daughters. While many fathers are overprotective when it comes to their daughters’ dating lives, Wahlberg believes he’s “pretty cool” in that department.
Wahlberg ‘Pretty Cool’ About Daughters Dating
“It depends. I’m usually pretty cool,” Wahlberg, 52, told Fox News when asked how he approaches his daughters dating.
“I think after the first go-round with my oldest, I realized it is what it is… it’s inevitable,” he added.
Wahlberg and his wife Rhea Dunham are parents to daughters Ella, 20, and Grace, 13, and sons Michael, 17 and Brendan, 15. As the father of two daughters, Wahlberg has picked up a skill that would likely surprise some of his fans.
“I braid hair, two girls. I learned how to braid,” he admitted.

Wahlberg Addresses College Party Crashing Rumors
In this same interview, Wahlberg addressed rumors that he recently “crashed” a fraternity party while visiting his oldest daughter for parents’ weekend at her college.
“No, I was invited. I didn’t crash the party,” Wahlberg explained. “I mean, we tore it up a little bit, but it was a blast.”
Though Wahlberg had fun at the party, he was shocked by the condition of the fraternity house, saying, “I mean, the house is damn near condemned… I wouldn’t tell you what it smelled like, but those guys are having a blast.”
That being said, the experience of visiting his daughter made Wahlberg have some regrets about not attending college himself.
“Certainly, I got a quick look at what I missed out on not attending college,” he confessed.
Wahlberg Flees California For ‘Better Life’
Last year, Wahlberg became the latest in a long line of celebrities to join the mass exodus out of the liberal run state of California to move his family to Las Vegas, Nevada. In another interview with Fox News back in March, Wahlberg explained that he left California, which has become overrun with crime and homelessness as well as high taxes, to give his children a chance at a better life.
“It’s really giving the kids a chance to thrive,” Wahlberg told Fox News. “It just has the best of both worlds. I know a lot of people, when they think Las Vegas, they think the Strip. But just about 15, 20 minutes away, there’s a whole lot of other amazing areas that are all about family and community.”
Wahlberg went on to say that he wanted “to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us.”
“We came here to just kind of give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids, and there’s lot of opportunity here. I’m really excited about the future,” he continued.
