Kellyanne Conway, Sean Spicer Refuse To Step Down From Military Boards After Biden Demands They Resign Or Be Fired

Kellyanne Conway and Sean Spicer, a pair of appointees of President Trump, have refused to step down from their role on non-partisan military boards after President Biden demanded their resignations or risk being fired.

Kellyanne Conway and Sean Spicer, a pair of appointees of President Trump, refused to step down from their role on non-partisan military boards after President Biden demanded their resignations.

Both have now been terminated from their positions.

The White House on Wednesday told 18 officials appointed by the former President to serve on the boards of U.S. military service academies that they can either resign or be dismissed.

Forbes reports that “it isn’t normal for appointees to be fired” but noted Trump had appointed many of them in the final months of his presidency.

They add that Biden appears to have “sought to cut” the appointees three-year terms short.

Along with Conway, Trump’s former advisor and Spicer, his press secretary, former national security adviser H.R. McMaster, former Army Vice Chief of Staff General Jack Keane, and former Pentagon senior adviser Douglas Macgregor were fired.

Kellywanne Conway, Sean Spicer Fired After They Refuse To Resign

Kellyanne Conway and Sean Spicer both made it clear that Biden would have to fire them as they had no intention to resign.

Spicer slammed the President for terminating the 18 Trump appointees on his NewsMax show.

“Remember back during the inauguration when President Biden said I’m going to be the president for all people, Trump voters, everyone else?” Spicer asked. “Yeah. Where’d that go? Out the window pretty much, huh?”

Spicer went on to hint that he would be suing the administration over his firing.

Kellyanne Conway, likewise, indicated she would not resign, but knew of somebody that should.

“President Biden, I’m not resigning but you should,” Conway tweeted, along with a letter to the President.

Biden Firing Trump Appointees, But No One Responsible For Afghanistan

Remarkable, isn’t it, that President Biden and his administration absolutely mismanaged the troop withdrawal in Afghanistan, resulting in 13 service members being killed and a countless number of Americans stranded in Afghanistan, and the only people being fired are Trump supporters serving on non-partisan military boards?

TV host Greta Van Susteren, whose husband was one of the appointees fired, blasted the Biden administration for the move.

“How do Administrations expect to foster non-partisanship among Americans when they act partisan with volunteer boards that have no power to [effect] American policy?” she asked.

“It certainly seems petty and political, if not personal,” Conway added in her letter.

If President Biden is seeking to terminate people, perhaps he needs to look within his own administration.

Biden’s chaotic withdrawal in Afghanistan led to heckling from protesters earlier this week.

“We will leave you guys behind!” one person shouted.

A recent poll shows 52% of Americans disapprove of the way Biden handled the Afghanistan withdrawal, while just 26% approved.

Nobody within the Biden administration has been asked to resign or been terminated for their role in the botched effort that cost the lives of over a dozen service members and left hundreds of Americans behind enemy lines.
