President Biden on Tuesday dismissed protesters upset with his botched Afghanistan withdrawal, saying they simply “don’t understand.”
The President had been touring parts of New Jersey and New York to survey damage caused by Hurricane Ida when he was met with jeers and less than flattering signs from hecklers.
“My country is going to s*** and you’re allowing it!” one woman yelled according to footage of the encounter. “I’m an immigrant and I’m proud of this country! I’d give my life for this country.”
“You guys should be ashamed of yourselves,” they continued.
One sign at the protest read: “F*** Biden.”
Below it were the words: “And F*** You for voting For Him.”
Others pointed out that Biden’s chaotic withdrawal in Afghanistan had resulted in Americans being left behind.
“We will leave you guys behind!” one person shouted.

Biden: They ‘Don’t Understand’
In subsequent comments made at an event in New York City, President Biden claimed he had received a warm reception earlier in the day.
“None of them were shouting or complaining,” he said. “Every one of them were thanking me as if it was something special … that I was here,” referring to people who were there for Biden’s hurricane visit.
In the same speech, Biden admitted there were some hecklers but suggested they weren’t upset over the 13 service members killed or the countless number of Americans stranded in Afghanistan.
In fact, he claimed they weren’t even from the area he was touring and were instead upset with his climate change proposals.
“The people who stand on the other side of the fences, who don’t live there, who are yelling that we’re interfering with free enterprise by doing something about climate change — they don’t live there,” the President fired back.
Biden added, “They don’t understand.”

Biden Taking Heat
It’s unclear why Biden thought the protesters were there because of his environmental policies.
But Biden’s Afghanistan debacle even has elected Democrats upset – like Democrat Senator Richard Blumenthal.
Earlier this week, Blumenthal said he is “furious” with the Biden administration for reportedly delaying Americans and Afghan allies desperately trying to get out of Afghanistan.
Blumenthal on trouble securing evacuee flight: “I have been deeply frustrated, even furious, at our government’s delay and inaction. I expect the White House and State Department to do everything in their power, absolutely everything, to make this happen.”https://t.co/42LbVNyoKP

Meanwhile, Gold Star family members of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan have been consistently shredding the President not only for his actions but his callous responses indicating he doesn’t understand their pain.
The mother of one of the Marines killed in a suicide attack outside the airport in Kabul last month invited former President Trump to her son’s funeral.
“It would be such an honor to meet the real President of the United States of America, President Trump,” she wrote in a Facebook post. “I love you and America loves you.”

Trump slammed Biden over his troop withdrawal from Afghanistan saying he had “embarrassed” America by his actions.
“That withdrawal was the most incompetently handled withdrawal or anything else in the history of our country,” he said in a recent interview.
“We’re embarrassed in front of the world.”
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) by contrast, introduced President Biden at his speaking event as the man who will “lead us out of darkness in this present moment.”
