Kathy Griffin Attacked Trump Associate at WHPC Dinner

Despite driving her own career into the ground following a controversial “Trump beheading” incident, “comedian” Kathy Griffin still managed to score herself an invite to the White House Press Correspondents’ Dinner, which really is an insight into the kind of people that get invited to these events.

And she was hardly on her best behavior.

According to the Daily Wire, Griffin was quick to lose her mind at the dinner:

Griffin sought to harass Deputy White House Press Secretary Hogan Gidley, telling him to “suck” her “d***.”

“The only awkward moment came when Deputy White House Press Secretary Hogan Gidley tried to squeeze past our table. Griffin stopped him and said, ‘How do you sleep at night?”

Gidley mockingly answered, “Very well, thank you.”

Unsatisfied with his reaction, Griffin apparently continued to harass Gidley.

“Are we really going to do this?” asked the deputy press secretary, to which Griffin replied: “Yes we are, suck my d***! No, really, suck my d***!”

Not exactly the level of insult you’d expect from a comedian. Gidley, meanwhile, Tecate beer in hand, told Griffin that he was enjoying the Mexican beverage “before we build a wall and you can’t get these anymore.” Now that’s funny!

In response, Griffin reportedly gave a final farewell “f*** you” to Gidley, who was just trying to pass by.

The infamous “beheading” incident occurred in August of 2017, and it wasn’t until March 2018 that Griffin announced she’d be touring again. “I’m dipping my toes into touring again even though the Trumps and nobody wants me to work again,” she told HBO’s Bill Maher at the time. She’s since rescinded her apology to President Trump for the “beheading” incident.

For as much as Griffin loves to blame Trump for her career decline, not being funny at any single point over the past three decades probably played a larger role in the decimation of her career.

Think she’s just desperate to stay in the spotlight? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
