Former Vice President Joe Biden has had a gaffe bonanza, claiming that he is running for Senate and worked with a dead Chinese leader on stopping climate change.

“I’m a Democratic candidate for the United States Senate”

Biden made his first gaffe on Monday, where he claimed that he was running for a Senate seat, and not for the Presidency.

“My name is Joe Biden. I’m a Democratic candidate for the United States Senate,” Biden said at the First in the South Dinner. “Look me over, if you like what you see, help out. If not, vote for the other Biden.”

Shortly following this, Biden listed working with Deng Xiaoping on stopping climate change as one of his proudest achievements during the Obama administration.

“One of the things I’m proudest of is getting passed, getting moved, getting in control of the Paris Climate Accord,” Biden told an audience at the College of Charleston. “I’m the guy who came back after meeting with Deng Xiaoping and making the case that I believe China will join if we put pressure on them. We got almost 200 nations to join.”

However, this wasn’t exactly correct either, as Deng Xiaoping has been dead for 23 years. Biden should have instead referred to Xi Jingping, the current Chinese premier and leader of the Communist Party.

Biden isn’t Up for the Task!

What these incidents show is that the former Vice President is absolutely not up to the task of running this great nation This isn’t the first time he’s made embarrassing mistakes and misquotes during his 3rd shot at the presidency either.

At the ripe old age of 77, it’s clear his mind is nowhere near as sharp as it once was. There’s a difference between having a “senior moment” occasionally, and constantly making mistakes like this, especially when you’re running for the highest office in the country, and probably the single most important job in the world. President Trump is only a few years younger, and there is no such collection of mistakes from him.

What if Biden has another “senior moment” during a time of serious crisis? Can we trust someone like this to have their fingers on the nuclear button? I certainly think not, and I have a feeling the rest of America agrees with me.
