Fox News’ Judge Jeanine Pirro isn’t afraid to give the targets of her attacks a piece of her mind, but her latest was behind that person’s back – and directed at President Donald Trump.

There’s already been some tension between Donald Trump and his Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, for his lack of action against the Clintons. As recently as November 3rd, Trump said “I don’t know” when ABC’s Jonathan Karl asked if he’d fire Jeff Sessions if the DOJ doesn’t pursue action against Hillary. “I’m really not involved with the Justice Department. I’d like to let it run itself. But honestly they should be looking at the Democrats. They should be looking at Podesta and all of that dishonesty.”

Pirro honed in on that potential conflict in a private interview. According to The Hill, “during a private meeting with President Trump, Fox News host Jeanine Pirro reportedly tore into Attorney General Jeff Sessions for his refusal thus far to appoint a special prosecutor to probe former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over the Uranium One deal.”

Perhaps you should take it with a grain of salt given that it’s the New York Times that broke the story on Tuesday that Pirro “excoriated” Sessions during their meeting.

From the article: “The report follows weeks of critical coverage on Pirro’s show, ‘Justice with Judge Jeanine,’ and elsewhere on Fox, of the 2016 deal that allowed a Russian nuclear agency to purchase Uranium One, a Canadian company that owns access to uranium in the U.S.”

At Fox, only their resident liberal voice Shepherd Smith has dissented against the story as presented.

In an interview with Jason Chaffetz that Pirro had in September, Chaffetz shared a personal conversation he had with Attorney General Jeff Sessions where the Sessions informed Chaffetz there would be no investigation or prosecution of any prior illegal behavior from Obama-era administration officials. According to Chaffetz, none of the unlawful activities of former D.C. officials will be investigated, prosecuted, or pursued.

In a statement to the Times, Pirro confirmed that she had reiterated to Trump the same criticism of Sessions she’s made in the past.

I, for one, would rather have Judge Pirro as attorney general than Sessions, wouldn’t you?
