James Comey Claims John Kelly Referred to Trump as ‘Dishonorable’

James Comey interview

We knew this type of thing was coming.

With former FBI Director James Comey set to release his much-anticipated book “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership” next week, already excerpts and blurbs are starting to hit the media. And wouldn’t you know it, Comey is dishing the dirt on all types of rotten things said about President Trump.

I guess Comey is still bitter about Trump giving him the boot last year.

The first big revelation from Comey’s book is here, and it’s a juicy one. It concerns White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, who, it would seem, is perennially on the chopping block. When Comey was fired, Kelly, then Secretary of Homeland Security, was not pleased. It turns out he was ready to quit his post. And he had some harsh words to say about President Trump.

The Daily Beast has an exclusive report:

According to Comey’s account, which is set to appear in his highly-anticipated forthcoming memoir, Kelly was “emotional” over the manner in which Comey was let go. The then-FBI Director had reportedly been in California at the time, speaking to FBI agents in Los Angeles, and only found out that he was out of a job when he saw the news break on TV.

Kelly, Comey recalls, said he was “sick” about the situation and “intended to quit” in protest. Kelly “said he didn’t want to work for dishonorable people,” referring specifically to President Donald Trump, who appeared to be upset at the FBI’s persistent investigation into his campaign’s possible collusion with Russian officials.

This is just petty. If Kelly did say those words, it was at an extremely stressful time. Comey is trying to sow discord within the White House by divulging this uncorroborated account.

He must be more desperate to sell books than we know.

What do you think? Is Comey still bitter about being fired? Did John Kelly really say this? Tell us your thoughts below!
