Iran’s Supreme Leader Claims Their Missile Strike A ‘Slap On The Face’ For The USA

Trump Khamenei

I seriously doubt Iran’s military is that well organized or positioned.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei says missile attacks on U.S. targets in Iraq were “a slap on the face.” Well, Ayatollah, Don’t look for America to turn the other cheek.

The attack was for local propaganda. Iran did not want to provoke a retaliatory response. They wanted to be able to tell the Iranian people that they attacked a US base and killed US soldiers without actually doing it.  Khamenei knew that if any US soldiers were to be killed in a targeted act, the US would take out some infrastructure (refineries).

Iran does have the ability to hit targets. It was proven with the attacks on oil wells in Saudi Arabia.

Khamenei knows that it would be like shooting a bear with a BB gun.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday that Tehran’s missile attacks on U.S. targets in Iraq were “a slap on the face” for the United States and it should now pull its forces out of the region.

Iran said it launched more than dozen missiles against U.S. targets on Wednesday in retaliation for the killing of Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani in a U.S. drone strike last week.

“Military action like this is not sufficient. What is important is ending the corrupting presence of America in the region,” Khamenei said in a televised speech, describing the missile strikes as a “slap on the face” for Washington.

“This region will not accept the presence of America,” he said, renewing Tehran’s long-standing demand for Washington to withdraw its forces.

I’m impressed by Iran’s bluster over this. Maybe our military should deliver a little drone to the Ayatollah with a message saying they know where he is and they can hit him too whenever they wanted. No explosions, but I suspect nearly as effective.

Khamenei also ruled out any resumption of talks with Washington on a 2015 nuclear deal. “Talks and sitting for negotiations are the beginning of (U.S.) intervention,” he said.

The United States withdrew from the pact between Tehran and world powers in 2018 and has since imposed tough new sanctions, driving down Iran’s oil exports and hammering its economy.

Iran has been scaling back its commitments to the nuclear pact.

The President articulated a thorough and carefully planned response putting Iran on notice! No more of their nonsense will be tolerated. I believe that Pres. Trump truly seeks a peaceful solution.

Let’s be crystal clear too. Iran bombed Iraqi military bases, not an American base. Yes, there are American soldiers on these bases, but they are Iraqi bases. Iran does not want to attack an American base. Iran thought long and hard about the warning Trump gave them about bombing American installations.

The sad thing is this, Obama’s administration gave Iran the resources by giving them billions of dollars and also using taxpayer dollars to provide Hezbollah with hundreds of millions of American taxpayer dollars in the last few months of his term as President. All democrats need to stop whining about what is going on since their leader, Barack Obama, funded these attacks.

It’s not all that surprising that AP journalists would fail to mention that Obama declared the general a terrorist around 2014 because he organized a bombing in DC that targeted a Saudi citizen.

Instead, they sing the general praises but cover themselves by saying Sunnis of the region do not like him because he is destabilizing. No AP, they do not like him because he is a terror organizer who (ordered) killed many protesters in Tehran. It’s sad to see the AP writing in the tone that this guy was ‘just destabilizing.’
