Donald Trump mockingly suggested that he’d be awaiting President Joe Biden’s apology after Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced that they would waive dozens of federal laws in order to build a border wall in Texas.
“There is presently an acute and immediate need to construct physical barriers and roads in the vicinity of the border of the United States in order to prevent unlawful entries into the United States in the project areas,” Mayorkas said in an announcement posted to the Federal Registry.
Justification for the move involves “high illegal entry” into the United States.
Can anybody remind me who is currently running the country and responsible for said high rates of illegal entry? I don’t recall.
NBC News notes a sudden reversal on the part of the Biden administration stating that the move “builds on one of the most controversial cornerstones of the Trump administration.”
Oh, you mean the border wall that Biden and the Democrats declared for four straight years was “racist.”

Trump Gloats About Biden Trying To Build Border Wall
Trump, the current frontrunner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination by a significant margin, took to his Truth Social media platform to poke fun at President Biden for appearing to come around on constructing the border wall.
“Will Joe Biden apologize to me and America for taking so long to get moving, and allowing our country to be flooded with 15 million illegal immigrants, from places unknown?” he asked “I will await his apology!”
He’ll no doubt be waiting a long time.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Trump stated that he believes the White House is moving toward constructing a border wall only because they’ve seen the illegal immigrant invasion has yielded “terrorists” who are “already” inside the country.
“Biden sees our country is being invaded,” Trump said. “What is he going to do about the 15 million people from prisons, from mental institutions, insane asylums, and terrorists that have already come into our country?”
Wait, you mean to tell me that Trump was right when he said that “they’re not sending their best?” Also racist.
A Trump campaign spokesperson added that the decision by Mayorkas shows that “President Trump is always right.”
They called Trump every name under the sun because he wanted to protect America from a migrant invasion.

If Only He Didn’t Stop Building The Wall In The First Place
The announcement from DHS is a nightmare for liberals and will surely result in fake photo-ops at the border and arrests in imaginary cuffs at protests.
Not only does the administration want to build Trump’s “racist” wall, but they are steamrolling a bunch of environmental laws that the hippies love in order to do so.
Some of the laws being waived include the Clean Air Act, the Safe Drinking Water Act, and the Endangered Species Act.

An announcement warning of an “acute and immediate need” to build a border wall is rather startling coming from a President who halted construction of it immediately upon taking office, saying that the border crisis was far less “important” than other matters.
“There will not be another foot of wall constructed on my administration, number 1,” Biden said in an interview with NPR.
He would follow through, issuing an executive order on his first day in office terminating any construction of that wall.
It also comes from the guy who stopped Arizona from building a makeshift border wall out of shipping containers, and just last month forced Texas to remove floating barriers in the middle of the Rio Grande.
Let me see if I got this right:
Biden stopped construction on the border wall.
Biden took down the surveillance cameras at the border.
Biden is having the razor wire removed from the Rio Grande.
Biden won’t let CBP turn away illegals.

The current fiscal year has seen over 2.3 million illegal immigrant encounters, already surpassing last year’s total. In all, there have been over 7.5 million illegal border crossings and over 1.5 million “gotaways” that escaped into the country since Biden took office.
Biden’s approval rating on the southern border is just 23 percent, and voters say that he’s been “ignoring” the crisis.
It’s pretty telling that pivoting to a Trump-era effort to secure the border is seen as a means to turn around his atrocious approval rating on the border crisis. The American people support Trump’s wall, and now, so does Biden.
Because he knows just like everybody else – walls work.
