Hawley Rips Biden For Siding With ‘Environmentalist Wackos’ Over Energy Independence

Hawley Says Joe Biden ‘Enthralled To The Environmentalist Wackos Who Don’t Care About American Strength’

While promoting his American Energy Independence Act of 2022 recently on Fox News, Republican Senator Josh Hawley said that Russia was able to invade Ukraine because President Joe Biden had driven up the price of oil to satisfy environmentalist “wackos.”

Hawley made his remarks during an interview on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

Hawley: Biden ‘totally enthralled to the environmentalist wackos who don’t care about American strength. They don’t care about American jobs’

One of the first things Biden did upon entering office was cancel the Keystone Pipeline. That project was “expected to carry 830,000 barrels per day of Alberta (Canada) oil sands crude to Nebraska.”

Hawley said that this move and other Biden energy policies showed that the president and his administration being “enthralled to” extreme environmentalists.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson asked Hawley, “What would be the motive of someone, our policymakers, to hamper, to hobble to shut down America’s domestic energy production? Like why would they want to do that, honestly?”

Hawley replied, “Well, I think that part of it is they are enthralled to the environmentalist lobby.”

“I mean, this is Joe Biden’s politics,” Hawley continued. “He is totally enthralled to the environmentalist wackos who don’t care about American strength. They don’t care about American jobs.”

“You know, they don’t particularly like the people who work the pipelines, who work the oil rigs,” the senator added. “You know, those folks, they don’t have much regard for them.”

Hawley: ‘Put them back to work’

“And listen, the truth is, those folks who do that kind of work, that laboring work, those blue-collar workers, they are the backbone of our economy,” Hawley added.

Hawley said America should have policies that let these people work.

“Put them back to work,” Hawley inisted. “Let them get onto those pipelines. Let them get onto those rigs.”

“Show the world what they can do,” he finished.
