Well, this had to have left liberals with their heads spinning.
Former Congressman Joe Walsh (R-IL) tweeted a message on the holiday that bears the name of Martin Luther King, Jr., that Mr. King would have frowned upon the Black Lives Matter movement because he would recognize that “all lives matter.”
Upon hearing that statement, liberals heads collectively went …
Here is Walsh’s tweet:
Martin Luther King, Jr would not approve of #BlackLivesMatter. Dr King was about bringing people together. He would say, “All lives matter.”

He added:
MLK Jr was all about “the content of our character, not the color of our skin.” #BLM is only about skin color.

Several people on social media took exception to Walsh’s statement. One reader responded that “… here comes some white dude trying to claim to know how MLK would react to modern times.”
Another asked Walsh, “What the hell do you know about Dr. King?”
It seems rather simple. All one has to do is look at King’s own words.
During King’s ‘I Have a Dream Speech,’ he mentioned the ‘content of our character, not the color of our skin.’
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
Walsh responded to his critics, directly paraphrasing the aforementioned ‘white folk’ comment:
Never fails: every MLK Day you get some black folk telling white folk they can’t comment on MLK & race cuz they’re “white.” Bull. Grow up.

Comment: Was Walsh right – Would Martin Luther King have said “All Lives Matter” and denounced the Black Lives Matter movement?
