Federal Judge’s Son Is Shot Dead Days After Being Assigned Case Linked To Jeffrey Epstein

The son of a federal judge was shot and killed just days after she was assigned a fraud lawsuit against Deutsche Bank whom investors say were misled by the bank while continuing to do business with Jeffrey Epstein after his conviction for soliciting child prostitutes.

A gunman who had disguised themselves as a FedEx driver was reportedly greeted at the judge’s home by her 20-year-old son opening the front door.

The assailant opened fire on the college student, killing him and critically injuring Salas’ husband, 63-years old, as he approached the door to see what was happening.

Judge Esther Salas is believed to have been in the basement of her home at the time of the attack.

A Hit?

Salas’ husband has been a prominent criminal defense attorney representing gang members of the Bloods and served as a prosecutor in New Jersey before switching to private practice.

But it is her work that has social media users abuzz.

Investors with Deutsche Bank brought a civil financial fraud case forward claiming the bank made false and misleading statements about its policies and failed to monitor ‘high-risk’ customers.

One of those customers was convicted sex offender billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.

Salas was assigned the case four days prior to the shooting.

Threats

CNN reports that law enforcement has “not been aware of any threats against the judge” and that “right now investigators don’t know the motive” behind the attack.

The Daily Mail indicates friends have heard Salas often make “remarks about her job making her a target for attacks but that recently, she was not concerned.”

The FBI indicates they are looking for one lone gunman.

“The FBI is investigating a shooting that occurred at the home of Judge Ester Salas in North Brunswick Township, New Jersey earlier this evening, July 19,” they tweeted. “We’re looking for one subject [and] ask that anyone who thinks they may have relevant information call us.”

The Associated Press reports that prior to the Epstein-linked case, Salas’ highest-profile involvement was the financial fraud case involving ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ reality TV stars Teresa and Joe Giudice.
