The FBI’s investigation into the sexual misconduct allegations against future (probably) Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh could wrap-up as early as today, and Democrats are already wishing they hadn’t demanded the investigation in the first place.

If you can actually believe this, Diane Feinstein now doesn’t want the FBI’s report made public. Why could that be? Perhaps in part because three of the witnesses Christine Blasey Ford claims were at the party where Kavanaugh allegedly assaulted her, now say the party never even occurred. That’s something of a plot hole in her story, don’t you think?

Making matters worse for Ford, an ex-boyfriend of hers came forward with a written declaration to the FBI on Tuesday that makes a number of damning claims about Ford’s character. But worst of all for her, if this boyfriend is telling the truth (and his letter was submitted under penalty of perjury), it means that Ford lied under penalty of perjury.

As you may remember, Christine Ford acted dumbfounded about the polygraph process during her testimony, just as she seemed to play clueless and innocent in response to anything. A bit odd that a psychologist like Ford would be clueless as to how polygraphs work, isn’t it? That’s what I thought – and according to Ford’s ex-boyfriend, she’d helped a friend prepare for a polygraph exam in the past, explaining the process in detail.

The ex-boyfriend also contradicted other parts of Ford’s testimony, such as Ford’s testimony that she’s afraid of closed spaces because of the alleged assault, that she had a second door installed on her house for that reason, and that she had a fear of flying.

As Fox News reported, the ex:

“also said Ford neither mentioned Kavanaugh nor mentioned she was a victim of sexual misconduct during the time they were dating from about 1992 to 1998. He said he saw Ford going to great lengths to help a woman he believed was her ‘life-long best friend’ prepare for a potential polygraph test. He added that the woman, Monica McLean, had been interviewing for jobs with the FBI and U.S. Attorney’s office. He further claimed that Ford never voiced any fear of flying (even while aboard a propeller plane) and seemingly had no problem living in a ‘very small,’ 500 sq. ft. apartment with one door — apparently contradicting her claims that she could not testify promptly in D.C. because she felt uncomfortable traveling on planes, as well as her suggestion that her memories of Kavanuagh’s alleged assault prompted her to feel unsafe living in a closed space or one without a second front door. Ford ‘never expressed a fear of closed quarters, tight spaces, or places with only one exit,’ the former boyfriend wrote.”

In response to these new revelations. Chuck Grassley has requested the full video and audio of Ford undergoing her polygraph.

“The full details of Dr. Ford’s polygraph are particularly important because the Senate Judiciary Committee has received a sworn statement from a longtime boyfriend of Dr. Ford’s, stating that he personally witnesses Dr. Ford coaching a friend on polygraph examinations. When asked under oath in the hearing whether she’d ever given any tips or advice to someone who was planning on taking a polygraph, Dr. Ford replied, “Never.” This statement raises specific concerns about the reliability of her polygraph examination results. The Senate therefore needs this information.”

I never thought I’d say it – but thank God the Democrats requested an FBI investigation. They’ve shown their true colors, and they aren’t even going to be able to derail Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
