Ex-Obama Defense Official Admits Under Oath She Lied On MSNBC About Having Evidence Of Trump-Russia Collusion

Evelyn Farkas, who served as a defense official in the presidential administration of Barack Obama, just admitted under oath that she lied on MSNBC about having evidence of Donald Trump’s campaign staffers colluding with Russia.

Farkas, who was the deputy assistant secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia from 2012-2015, told MSBNC back in March of 2017 that she had been trying to get her coworkers and congressional lawmakers to gather up evidence of Trump-Russia collusion before Obama left office. She added that she was afraid Trump staffers would destroy evidence if they “found out how we knew what we knew about the Trump staff’s dealing with Russians,” according to The Blaze.

However, newly-released documents show that Farkas was singing a very different tune just three months later in June of 2017, when she testified before the House Permanent Select Committee. Trey Gowdy, who was the head of the committee at the time, was pressing Farkas on the claims she had made on MSNBC when she finally admitted that she actually “didn’t know anything.”

“Why don’t we go back to that sentence that I just asked you about. It says ‘the Trump folks, if they found out how we knew what we knew about their staff dealing with Russians,'” Gowdy said. “Well, how would you know what the U.S. government knew at that point? You didn’t work for it, did you?”

“I didn’t [work for the government]” Farkas confessed.

“Then how did you know?” Gowdy replied.

“I didn’t know anything,” Farkas said.

Not stopping there, Gowdy kept pressing her. “Did you have information connecting the Trump campaign to the hack of the DNC?” Gowdy asked later on in the hearing.

“No,” Farkas admitted.

“So when you say, ‘We knew,’ the reality is you knew nothing,” Gowdy pointed out.

“Correct,” Farkas responded.

This exchange is particularly noteworthy right now because Farkas is running for New York’s 17th Congressional District as a Democrat. Clearly, she is just another lying Democrat who will say anything to bring down those who oppose her, even if the truth is not on her side.
