Donald Trump Jr. Mocks Al Franken After His Resignation

Donald Trump Jr. managed to obliterate Al Franken with one simple message following the latter’s resignation due to multiple allegations of sexual misconduct.

Franken announced his departure – set to occur in the ‘coming weeks’ – earlier today and took a shot at President Trump on the way out the door.

“I, of all people, am aware that there is some irony that I am leaving while a man who has bragged on tape about his history of sexual assault sits in the Oval Office,” Franken declared.

As Franken made his announcement, Donald Trump Jr. took to social media and poked a little fun at the Democrat.

For our younger readers, many of whom know nothing of Franken’s career on Saturday Night Live in the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s, that line is a reference to a character played by the Minnesota Democrat known as Stuart Smalley.

Smalley was a self-help guru who would engage in ‘daily affirmations’ which involved repeating the phrase “I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and doggone it, people like me,” in order to get through difficult crises.

It’s time for Franken to start some real-life daily affirmations of his own.

The Smalley character was immensely popular during Franken’s run with the late night comedy show, even spawning a book and a movie titled, Stuart Saves His Family.

Liberals were predictably triggered by Trump Jr.’s mockery of Franken.

Except, there’s one very glaring difference between Trump and Franken.

“Senator Franken has admitted wrongdoing and the president hasn’t,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said. “I think that’s a very clear distinction.”

  • One less FAKE Republican.. At least Trump is takin America in the right direction. Al has fought him all the way.... Good Ridence...

    • ................... He was a piss poor "comedian", and a lousy "politician", a COMPLETE loser............

      ...................................................................................................................................... Jim.

  • I was NOT impressed with Al Franken's non-apology, missive of self-awarding/rewarding/, in 100,000 words or more! He could hasve just said "I resign", and it would have been better received! He said all THAT to say; Nothing!

  • Frankly I don't see why all these Democrats are having a cow. I guess you all forgotten our man Bill Clinton. Remember he's also an accused rapist, got sued for sexual harassment and lost, and had numerous other women claiming sexual misconduct against him.Who could forget the infamous blue dress and cigar??? SO although Trump talked about it, Clinton actually done it. He was always supported by the lot of Democrats, those in government and those who voted for him. Yes I'm speaking to you Democratic women who are now crying foul. Also where were all these women when Hillary was running and one of her biggest donors was Harvey Weinstein? OH that's right, keeping their mouths shut while they screamed and wore their pussy hats. SO now I say this, didn't bother you then, why is it bothering you now? Don't talk about Trump when you all supported a man who raped, harassed and played cigar up the VaJayJay. Hypocrites, that's what you all are. Hillary isn't saying much, because theres nothing much she can say, she's married to most famous womanizer and supported his actions and called his victims "Bimbos". I laugh now about the Democrats screaming about Trump and watching them all crumble from Hollywood down, it's better then any screen play Martin Scorsese could ever write. YOU all know him right? The famous director supported by just about every star in Hollywood who molested a young girl, was found guilty and fled to avoid prosecution. Yep, watching the elite liberals crumble like broken eggs, too damn priceless.

  • He even stated that working all those late nights was worth it the inference being that they work so hard. Please do not insult my intelligence!

  • What I heard was "...in the coming weeks, I will announce my resignation..." What was missing but evident was "OR NOT!" If Roy Moore wins, Franken thinks he can stay. Wrong! Moore's accusers look more bogus every day.

    • And it's SOOOO much fun watching them squirm like night crawlers on a hook! Every day, someone reels in another big fish caught off the "wiggle worms"!
