Have you ever heard those saying dog is a man’s best friend? Well, that could not be truer than the situation in this story.
A Michigan man went out to collect firewood at his home on New Year’s Eve. But an unfortunate mishap occurred when he slipped and broke his neck. He began screaming, but nobody can hear him. He was only wearing long johns, a T-shirt and slippers. He was a goner.
In freezing degree temperatures, this man laid on the ground screaming for help. It was then that his dog found him and laid on him to keep him warm until he was found. How’s that for a hero?

And to the surprise of doctors, Bob made a quick initial recovery from his neck injury.
“After the surgery, miraculously, he started to move his extremities with greater strength,” said Chaim Colen, MD, Neurosurgeon at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital.
He added: “I think animals can help and his dog really kept him alive and really helped him, he was very fortunate.”
