A new poll of Iowa Democrats shows they have little appetite for another Hillary Clinton presidential run, preferring to see Michelle Obama or even Oprah Winfrey run.
The poll, conducted in conjunction with the Des Moines Register, CNN, and Mediacom, presents four individuals to the prospective voter and asks if that person would add or detract from the 2020 presidential race.
The results were a remarkable statement on the two-time presidential failure.
While 76 percent thought Michelle Obama would add to the race, and 40 percent thought Oprah would be a good addition, just 25 percent felt the same about Hillary. Only Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz fared worse, a mere 17 percent thinking he’d uplift the race. It should be noted he had the most ‘unsure’ votes, however.
Additionally, Clinton is far and away the worst choice when they consider which candidate would detract from the race. 72 percent felt she’d take away from the party nomination, a clear 17 percentage points over both Schultz and Oprah.

Is there any good news for Clinton?
It’s difficult, no matter how hard or long you stare at the numbers, to find any measure of good news for the one-time heir apparent to the White House.
Aside from trailing significantly behind Mrs. Obama and a talk show host, the Des Moines Register poll shows Hillary is actually underwater when it comes to favorability ratings … within her own party.
Of the 21 potential candidates presented, only Hillary and businessman Andrew Yang have a higher unfavorable than favorable rating in the Democrat Party. Yang has presented himself as a one-issue potential candidate, promising a universal income for all Americans. He also suffers from a massive lack of name recognition with 83 percent of respondents not sure about him.
49 percent view Hillary unfavorably, 47 percent otherwise.
Favorable ratings in the CNN/DMR Iowa poll of Democrats:
Biden: 82/15
Bernie: 72/22
Warren: 64/20
Beto: 53/11
Harri: 49/10
Booker: 49/12
Hillary: 47/49Hillary Clinton’s favorable rating is underwater among *Democrats.* That is stunning.

Oprah and Michelle aren’t even trying
Not only is Clinton losing to both Oprah and Michelle Obama, but she’s the only one of the three who has indicated any interest in truly running in 2020. They’re beating her without even trying!
It was just two short months ago that Hillary stated: “I’d like to be president.”

She’s also been on a much anticipated but thus far disastrous international speaking tour with her husband, promoting the Clinton brand.
Meanwhile, Oprah has said it would take a message from God to get her to enter the race and recently forayed into the world of politics by campaigning for Stacey Abrams in Georgia, a big political loss.
Michelle has also said she “will not run for president,” and is instead content with a life of public service and, in her own mind, remaining America’s “forever First Lady.”
It’s a heck of a plunge to watch the woman who beat out Bernie Sanders in Iowa in 2016 be completely despised by her own party and trailing two other women with no desire to run for the seat she so covets.
