House Democrats hosted a “Thanksgiving-type meal” for their first caucus meeting, and reportedly banned “ideological food” such as Chick-fil-A.
Rachael Bade, a congressional reporter with Politico and a CNN analyst, revealed what was strictly verboten in the meeting room where the majority typically meets.
It’s difficult to ascertain from her message as to whether or not it was the Democrat lawmakers who shunned the Chick-fil-A/ideological food menu, or if it was an observation from Bade who then labeled it as such.
Either way, it’s absurd to think that chicken now represents an ideology either to the House Democrats or a member of the liberal media, or both.

Democrats want to politicize every aspect of life, including food
This isn’t the first time liberals have described a place that produces chicken nuggets as ‘ideological.’
In 2012, the Huffington Post ran an article about how the chicken fast-food chain had become an “ideological battlefield,” over their supposed “anti-gay policies.”
They aren’t anti-gay, of course, it’s just that liberals view anybody with religious beliefs, who support the institution of marriage in a traditional sense, and who give their workers Sunday off as a day to observe their religion, as being ‘anti-gay.’
Even ABC News condemned Chick-fil-A as ideological and claimed the company had “funded organizations with radically anti-gay messages.”
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio once tried to organize a boycott of the restaurant in his own city. Talk about ideological.
“I’m certainly not going to patronize them and I wouldn’t urge any other New Yorkers to patronize them,” he announced.
Liberals shunning Chick-Fil-A never works
We’re not sure why the left insists on demonizing Chick-fil-A, as doing so only drives more customers through their doors. Customers who believe food is not ‘ideological,’ it’s just damn tasty. People who believe a company has the right to be pro-religion and still operate a business.
Case in point – De Blasio’s boycott backfired in a major way, as New Yorkers responded by coming out in droves to support the company, lines wrapping around the block.

This year, American Customer Satisfaction Index’s annual study named Chick-fil-A the number one fast-food restaurant in America for the third year in a row.
Market Force’s annual customer survey of the nation’s top quick-service restaurants placed Chick-fil-A squarely at the top in the category of “best chicken in America.”
They placed second overall with a 73 percent customer loyalty.
By the way, here’s a list of the Christian things Chick-fil-A has done that apparently has led to liberals viewing them as ‘ideological’:
- Donated meals to a local high school.
- Opened on a Sunday to help stranded travelers.
- Helped feed and care for a freezing homeless man.
- Supported local law enforcement.
- Fed tornado victims and first responders.
- They even were a refuge for a pregnant Trump supporter quite recently.
Trust us, that is a short list for this noble business.
