Andy Beshear, the Democratic governor of Kentucky, just announced that anyone in his state who is caught attending a “mass gathering” over Easter will have their license plate number recorded by state police and will be forced into a two-week self-quarantine.
Beshear signed an executive order stating that those who attend ant in-person church services or any other large gathering over the holiday will have their license plate numbers recorded by police and turned over to local health officials, who “will then come to the participant’s door and provide them with a 14-day quarantine order,” according to WXIX-TV.
“Folks, we shouldn’t have to do this,” the governor said of the order after revealing that 90 Kentuckians have already died from the coronavirus pandemic.
“I think it’s not a test of faith whether you’re going to an in-person service, it’s a test of faith that you’re willing to sacrifice to protect your fellow man, your fellow woman, your fellow Kentuckian, and your fellow American,” he added. “This is the only way we can ensure your decision doesn’t kill someone else, that your decision doesn’t spread the coronavirus in your community, that your decision to go to a mass gathering doesn’t undermine the sacrifice of every other house of worship that is choosing the right thing.”
Sen. Rand Paul (R), who survived coronavirus and is also from Kentucky, immediately fired back at Beshear by telling The Gateway Pundit, “Taking license plates at church? Quarantining someone for being Christian on Easter Sunday? Someone needs to take a step back here.”

On Saturday, a Kentucky federal judge appointed by Donald Trump issued a temporary restraining order on the ban against drive-in church services on Easter Sunday. Judge Justin Walker ruled in favor of the On Fire Christian Center, which had sought to hold drive-in church services, according to the Washington Times.
“Louisville has targeted religious worship by prohibiting drive-in church services, while not prohibiting a multitude of other non-religious drive-ins and drive-throughs — including, for example, drive-through liquor stores,” Walker wrote in his decision.
What Beshear has done in Kentucky is absolutely ridiculous, so we’re glad Republicans are rebelling against him.

Can you say, “recall vote on the Ky Governor”? I knew you could.
Will other Faith’s be included, I’ve heard immans who have told their followers that they don’t need to follow the government rules on mass gathering
If they have on mask, gloves amd are more than 6′ apart what’s the problem. Maybe they should go stake out Walmart and get all the minority running around with kids, in groups, invading your six feet, no gloves, mask, no wipe down their carts and are just being nasty and disreputable because Macine told them to get in everyones face.
To put in or support any communist a.k.a. Democrat is to support or destroy the deaths of America and all who died for this great nation!
These over zealous politicians are behaving this way so as to minimize any accusations of having “blood on their hands” if large # of infections/deaths occur. Makes their chances of re-election more difficult, and that is what they are really concerned about here, for the most part…
Where did the Democrats seine up this bottom-feeder?
Going to worship services in the confines of an automobile isn’t hurting anyone or exposing anyone to the virus.. Someone is going to get sued over this one..
I am a Christian I I attended worship on line and it was moving and beautiful. I don’t feel at all targeted for being Christian. That is utterly ridiculous. It is our Christian duty to look out for the health and welfare of others.
The Governor of Ketucky is a Democrat and a fascist. Is anyone surprised?
Hope all church goers sue in a class action lawsuit and destroy Beshear.
While I think Beshear has our safety in mind he must remember we have religious freedom in America. He must not overstep his authority and thereby step on individual rights.
Those going into a church for services should definitely self-quarantine afterwards. Those in Kentucky can complain about their Governors actions, but I have been tracking all of the states and since his ‘Stay-at-home’ order, his state’s infection rate as measured by percentage of its population, is well below the national average. In fact at .041% of the states population, that is almost 1/4 the national average and 1/2 of neighboring Tennessee that did not issue restrictions until 2 week later.
States that have made decisive actions early have had the flattest COVID-19 cases.
amen
Scratch a Democrat and find a totalitarian dictator wannabe underneath. Never fails…
G(ov)(7) A(1) . +B(2)+e(5)+s(19)+h(8)+e(5)+a(1)+r(18) =66 (well on the way to 666.
Hopefully, beshear will be a one-term stain on this state, and we’ll vote-in a Republican/Conservative again.
His father served as governor, and ran the state’s economy into the ground.
GOD BLESS PRESIDENT TRUMP
JUST NOT RIGHT!!!
VOTE OUT ALL DEMOCRATS
These type of democrates are practicing “Communism” and how it will work.
Well, I do understand the social distancing thing…but, I do wonder if the authorities aren’t practicing for future restrictions against Christians?
One step closer to the Democratic Dictatorship
Can you imagine the damage the Democrats would do to our country and our constitution if they were to ever get back in power. Vote them all out of office in November.
While I am OK with actions that are helpful, I think we are going overboard. Church people siting in their cars is certainly safe enough. This constitutes as violation of the First Amendment.
I think every two bit tyrant in the whole fuggin country is in a state of ecstacy over the multitudes of people to order around!
You had a typo in the second paragraph, it says “ant in-person church” where you are most likely meaning “any in-person church”. 😊

Why in hell is a liquor store classified as essential?
I don’t understand what the deal is as long as people stay in their cars there is no danger of infection. I do agree with the governor that people should have sense enough to quarantine themselves & government wouldn’t have to, really sad that some obviously don’t.
By all means close the liquor store.
Mitch M. should be replace by another trusted Republican. But for the reason that he is a deep stater. He failed to pass any of Trumps or the nations wishes in the first two years. He stood in the way of Trump at every step of the way.
You’ve just got to stop watching CNN & MSNBC! A “mass murderer? You show your bias, hatred, and sheer immaturity with that one! You are someone to be dismissed and not taken seriously…but most 12 yr olds aren’t…
Shut up red peepee
Hope you catch it.
Pure BS, and you know it. Go spew your negative lies elsewhere!
To much CNN…..
That is a lie, and you know it. Stop twisting facts into lies to suit your political hatred.
Get rid of Mitch McConnell- hes a mass murderer- he supported Trump ignoring Corona virus for 70 days killing hundreds of people
So, what are the people of Kentucky going to do about this? Just asking.
This is why we need to get our economy moving! The Representatives we elect are abusing their emergency power, and our Liberty is more precious than the illusion they are trying to create of safety.
