On Monday night, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Republicans are responsible for pitting “Jew” against “Muslim” and “citizen” against “immigrant.” She made her remarks at a special congressional Muslim dinner.
“AOC” spoke after controversial Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib made remarks. Ocasio-Cortez said she believes all prayer went in the same direction, “up,” and that Republicans “fear” the “fellowship” she and others of like mind might have with Muslims.
She said:
“There is no reason to fear fellowship, there never will be a reason to fear a fellowship, we never have feared fellowship we never will fear fellowship, because I believe that at our core and, and really so much of what we’re celebrating is that I know that when (people of different faiths pray), I believe that those prayers I’ll go to the same place, up,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
“That lack of fear of fellowship is exactly what the opposition does fear, that and anytime Rashida or Ilhan speak they’re scared to, myself included, and you know it is great that they got more than they bargained for,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “Right now there’s an effort, you know the effort and the way that they try to oppose all progress in this country is by pitting communities against one another that have never and have no business being pitted against one another.”
Watch and listen below:
Ocasio-Cortez claimed that Republicans actively pitted “Jew against Muslim” and “immigrant versus citizen” in order to “make sure that none of us get our interests or our rights advanced and we will not stand for it anymore.”
“We will not stand for it anymore,” she said.
These are not surprising comments from Ocasio-Cortez. Nor is it surprising that she would defend or dismiss the anti-Semitism of representatives like Omar and Tlaib.
If anyone is responsible for labeling Americans as mere groups and pitting them against each other, it’s far-left Democrats like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who can’t help but make everything about identity politics.

She talks about how we shouldn't fearing fellowship. What I fear is she finds her way to the Yellow Brick Road and her way to Oz and gets a brain.
A history lesson would be wasted on this snowflake. I believe she slept through the course on American history and is still sleeping through the immigration battle. Pelosi has the perfect foils in AOC, Talib and Harris as well as tin Lizzy who cannot be excluded from this. God bless America. RVN 68-69
I'm sick of this un-American evil socialist
Ah, Islam wasn't established until 600 years after Christianity began.
One question? Do you know which way is up?
No wonder her Mother moved to Florida !
Saul’s God had good reason. Get yourself a study bible and read up. HInt—-Saul didn’t listen to God and to this day we are paying for Saul’s actions.
Ha! Cortez is a sick woman.
Verdad!
She doesn't know the difference between fellowship and terrorism. It's all good to her.
