CNN commentator Van Jones spoke out after Derek Chauvin was found guilty of the death of George Floyd on Tuesday to brag that both voting and protesting “worked” to bring about this outcome.
Jones Boasts About Verdict
“This was not the system working. This was people making the system work. That’s the key,” Jones said on CNN. “Don’t forget — initially, the police report said, oh, it’s a medical incident, somebody died. What do we know? The initial charging document for the local prosecutor was a joke. Literally, a piece of tissue paper that somebody sneezed on. Nothing.”
“People rose up and said we’re not going to let this go,” he continued. “The governor stepped in; gave the case to Keith Ellison, who is an African-American Muslim progressive guy that everybody rallied around before to get in office. Keith Ellison put so many resources on the table. You’ve never seen a prosecution like that of anybody.”
“And so what happened is the voting worked,” Jones added. “You can tell the young people now voting matters. The protesting worked. You can tell young people marching matters. And the truth. The fact that people got involved with their video cameras and captured it. Citizen engagement matters. So, there’s a formula now to show people we can make the system work for change. That’s what’s new.”
Jones Demands Congress Take Action
Jones also called on Congress to take action, saying that Chauvin’s conviction is only the “beginning.”
“This is the beginning of something. This is not the end of anything,” Jones said. “Those chokeholds are still legal according to the federal government. That needs to change. There’s no duty to intervene from the federal government. That needs to change. There’s no registry for cops like Chauvin. That needs to change.”
“I’ve seen so many kids who have done so much less than him walk out of courtrooms in handcuffs,” he added.
Chauvin was found guilty on Tuesday on Tuesday on various charges related to Floyd’s death last May in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

And the only reason Chauvin was convicted was because they intimidated the jury but he will be able to appeal because of that and get out of jail, he did not kill the drug addict anyway.

Des Moines Woman Admits She Ran Over 2 Kids Because of Their Ethnicity
Nicole Poole Franklin, a 43-year-old from Des Moines, has pleaded guilty to federal hate crimes after she ran down two kids in 2019 because of their ethnicity, The Gazette reports. Franklin hit a 12-year-old Black boy with her SUV, injuring his legs. She told prosecutors she thought the boy was of Middle Eastern descent and was a member of ISIS. She said she then hit a 14-year-old Latina girl, who was hospitalized for two days, because “she is Mexican.” She pleaded guilty to two state counts of attempted murder charges.

Josh Hawley Is the Lone Senator to Vote Against Hate Crimes Bill
Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), the Trump-loving conservative who voted to overturn the election, is at it again. He was the lone senator to oppose the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act on Thursday, which passed the Senate in an overwhelmingly bipartisan 94-1 vote. The bill, designed to address rising violence and discrimination against Asian Americans, would expedite the Justice Department’s review on hate crimes, designate a DOJ official to oversee those efforts, and beef up local resources to increase awareness. “I’m just concerned the bill is hugely broad, hugely open-ended,” Hawley previously told reporters. “It’s just, you know, the ability and power to define crimes, to define incidents going forward, and collect all that data, it just seemed hugely, hugely over broad.” (The bill does not “define” any new crimes.)
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said as a “proud husband of an Asian American woman, I think this discrimination against Asian Americans is a real problem.” The bill still needs to pass the House and be signed by President Biden.

The people will have to work through their states to patrol and guard their borders. Not just the borders of those abutting other nations. Migrant invasion of border states is invasion of all.
US Constitution Article 1 Sec. 10 – "No state shall . . . engage in war, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent danger as will not admit of delay." The states have all been invaded.
The states in cooperation with one another must patrol their borders and maintain 24/7 check points to detect and expel illegal aliens. Guard towers for surveillance and fire points, with on-site electric generators including wind turbines and solar cells to re-charge communication devices and others such as searchlights, lasers, tasers and drones. Tank traps, "tiger teeth", posts, fences, berms, moats, canals, improvised explosive devices, area denial non-lethal mechanisms and razor wire to inhibit and control foreign incursion and perhaps countermeasures by a federal government that's under near-total communist control. Voting should be limited to people appearing at the polls on election day with an American passport in hand or voting absentee by mail received on or before election day pursuant to good verifiable excuse.
