The legendary actor and director Clint Eastwood was left devastated and had a “very emotional” reaction to the death of his former mistress Roxanne Tunis, a Hollywood stuntwoman who died back in June at the age of 93 “after a brief illness.”

Clint, 93, is reportedly “thinking more about his mortality” and “cherishing every moment” in the wake of her passing.

Clint Mourns ‘Love Of His Life’

Clint and Roxanne met on the set of “Rawhide” in the early 1960s, and though he was married at the time, they quickly began an affair that lasted for fourteen years and produced a daughter they named Kimber, 59. A source told Daily Mail that Clint was “gutted” by Roxanne’s passing, as she was “unlike any other love of his life.”

“[Roxanne’s death] was very emotional and more emotional than he ever expected,” the insider said. “Her loss not only gutted him but also made him think more about his mortality, which he never does.”

The source went on to say that though Clint has “had a long and wonderful life,” the loss of Roxanne has had a profound impact on him and caused him to reflect.

“Clint loves living life,” the insider explained. “He loves being around, but when Roxanne passed, he started feeling things he wasn’t used to. Clint is a storyteller, and that is how he lives his life. With Roxanne’s passing, it really taught Clint many things he never thought were possible.”

“It really seems to have provided a story for his life that he never thought was possible,” the source added. “He is now cherishing moments a lot more since her passing. He now knows some things in life can happen that he can’t change but he can certainly learn from them.”

The source concluded by saying that Clint “feels really bad for his daughter,” who is one of his eight children.

Clint’s Affair With Roxanne

Clint was still married to his first wife Maggie Johnson when he began his affair with Roxanne after meeting on the set of “Rawhide.”

“On the set, they were very open about the fact they were lovers,” another source previously told Radar Online of the affair. “After Clint would finish a scene, he’d amble over to Roxanne and stroll around the set with his arm affectionately around her. She was usually in his dressing room trailer.”

Though the affair ended decades ago, Roxanne reportedly continued to “worship” Clint right up until her passing. This insider said that she “was one of Clint’s true loves,” and that the former couple “maintained a healthy relationship … until the end.”

“Roxanne worshipped the ground he walked on. She didn’t give a damn about the fact that Clint was a star,” the source explained. “She was never impressed with all the money and fame. All she ever wanted was to have and to hold Clint Eastwood the man.”

Clint’s Love Life

Clint and Maggie divorced in 1984, and he went on to marry Dina Eastwood, staying with her from 1996 until they divorced in 2014.

It’s believed that he is currently dating a restaurant hostess named Christina Sandera, who is 33 years younger than he is.

Losing those we love is unfortunately part of getting into old age, but that doesn’t make it any easier. Please join us in saying a prayer for Clint as he continues to mourn this devastating loss.
