Several people close to Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie have told Axios that he is serious about making another run for the White House in 2024.
While not exactly a new development – Christie told radio host Hugh Hewitt back in December that he “wouldn’t rule out” a possible run – challengers are going to have to get an early start.
For those who are considering a run in 2024, the obvious elephant in the room is whether former President Donald Trump will also make another run for president. Any challenger’s plan will hinge greatly on Trump’s plans, including Christie.

Chris Christie ran for the nation’s highest office in 2016, and the attempt was anything but successful.
Axios relates that Christie would hinge his appeal on having executive experience, and in a blue state no less (having served as Governor of New Jersey), as well as being a former federal prosecutor.
If recent events are any indication, the eventual GOP nominee will likely be very strong on “law and order.”
According to Axios, Christie has told friends that he would be the only one in the field right now that has executive experience and had run a presidential campaign.
Apparently, Christie thinks this would give him a leg up over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is popular with voters due to his handling of COVID-19 and his willingness to battle the media.

The field of possible candidates for the Republican nomination is currently a crowded one, though its still too early for any official announcements.
Besides Christie and DeSantis, some names that have had early mention are, former Vice President Mike Pence, Sens. Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Rick Scott, and Tom Cotton, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.
But the most intriguing prospect is of course, Donald Trump.
In an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Monday, Trump said he is “very seriously” considering another run in 2024.
“I say this, I am looking at it very seriously, beyond seriously,” said Trump.
“From a legal standpoint, I don’t want to really talk about it yet – it’s a little too soon.” Trump added that the thing he misses the most about being president is “helping people.”

Like every family, the Republican Party has its share of infighting.
But it is also a very busy place right now. Recently, Donald Trump hosted a large gathering of presidential hopefuls and others running for office at his Mar-a-Lago resort, however Christie was not among the attendees.
Another emerging group that seems to be at the top of all possible candidate’s to do lists are a meeting with the House conservative caucus, the Republican Study Committee.
Christie has met with the caucus, and told the GOP they must “get tough” on Joe Biden.
While meeting with the Caucus, Christie also blamed 2020 House and Senate losses on Trump. It remains to be seen how well that will go over.
And earlier this week, the Republican National Committee released impressive fundraising numbers not only for the month of March, but the first quarter of 2021.
The Political Insider’s 2024 poll shows some interesting results.
Among the six candidates chosen at the time of its creation, the top three choices are Donald Trump (by a massive margin), followed by DeSantis and Trump Jr.
Former VP Pence lagged all choices, with a mere 2.55%.
Now is the time to support and share the sources you trust.

Boy, they’re coming out of the woodwork. I guess they think, since BASEMENT BOY can screw up the country, they can do a better job at it !!!!
Be sure to print in crayon and spell check.
Chris Christie getting elected President has about the same odds as you winning the Powerball lottery.
This is a bs article. Fat Christie stabbed Trump in the back repeatedly and was never an ally. Christy is a fat RINO.
Climate change happens but only demorats think American money can fix it. Destroy our economy while China and India the real polluters get a free pass. Buzz off!
I'm voting for Trump even if I have to write his name in.
A word to the wise..."Nope".
I would like a ticket of DiSantis and Candace Owens.
Christy would need an escalator to get on Air Force 1.
He's got about as much chance as Mitt Romney, Obama, H. Clinton ,or any of the like !
